January 5, 201511 yr Just as a baseball fan I'd rather Ichiro go somewhere where he can get daily at bats and reach the 3000 hit mark before he retires. We don't offer that kind of opportunity. Yeah Ichiro shouldn't be starting anymore, but he deserves the chance to get 3000 hits and secure his future spot in the HOF. I think he's a lock for the HOF. they're not going to hold the fact that he played 8 seasons in Japan against him.
January 5, 201511 yr I'd be beyond ecstatic for Ichiro on a personal level. Living in Japan for 2 years, I've always wanted the Marlins to sign a Japanese player. Hope it happens.

January 6, 201511 yr Will Venable would be nice. Good speed, glove, and power. When I was in high school, I went to a game where Will Venable was playing RF. It was that night that Venable was exposed to how dumb fans are down here. Some fan was heckling him calling him "Vegetable" in a mocking tone. I was embarassed. Surely this incident, though five years ago, will keep Will Venable from coming to Florida.
