Not a very good way to close out the series. Had a lead in the 6th inning against a team that was really struggling. 

 

Don't know why Cosart just fell apart again.

That Morse guy tho. 3 Ks. Yeah, benched for a week. Can't win the all though, it was a well deserved and needed rest for the guys who got it. 10 game road trip including a west coast visit I'd say good call by Red. Especially because fish have a day game Wednesday in WAS then a night game the next day in San Fran.

 

 

With Marsinick tearing everything up and then some, Cosart needs to pitch better than that. 

 

 

No one could have expected Marisnick to be doing what he's doing, to be fair. 

 

 

Still not sure about resting Prado, Gordon, and Realmuto. I would be ok with one but both Prado and Gordon being gone took a big chunk of offense. Its not like there wasn't just an off day Thursday. 

 

 

Hate to harp on the off days for Gordon and Prado but you can't help but wonder what would have been had they started. Besides that, oh well, still on a nice roll heading into DC.

It's because he tried to get cute in the thread title going with Myamee. It work with philly but ya can't do both teams.

 

 

I understand off days but with Yelich out wtf is redmond thinking giving Gordon, Prado, and Realmuto the day off, especially after they all had very nice games the day before.  Cant be doing that, Gordon can play all 162.  No excuse to rest him and prado today after how they swung yesterday.

 

Cant win them all but we should have won this game today.

No matter what lineup is playing, if you give up six runs, there's a good chance you're going to lose.

 

Yes, ur not wrong... But with Gordon and Prado in our lineup we also have the chance to score 8 runs of our own as we've done multiple times.

You can't bench this many guys at once. You mess up chemistry on defense, you mess up the lineup order, the offense takes a shit on the field and it alters the flow of the game (which affects the pitcher one way or another).

 

And for the love of baseball, give Morse multiple days off and let Bour play. We literally had a spring training squad out there yesterday. The Phillies did it because they have no aspirations or expectations and they're away. You don't bench Prado and Gordon who are tearing it up against a team you're supposed to beat just about every day in front of your home crowd. If Gordon gets cold during this road trip and we look like we've lost momentum we can all point to this game as the reason.

 

Tonight's lineup should be

 

1. Gordon 2. Prado 3. Stanton 4. Ozuna 5. Bour 6. Ichiro 7. Hech 8. Realmuto 9. Phelps

 

 

Why Realmuto 8th? I agree with everything else but why Realmuto 8th instead of 6th where's he's done rather well?
