2015 - 2016 Florida Panthers season

I can't believe the Standings look like this.  Florida at the top just looks so weird.

How do we like matchup with the Isles?

If we were to play the Islanders... we are 2-1 against them, with one of those wins coming in the shootout. Would prefer them to the Rangers, if only to avoid playing Lundqvist in the first round. But, I think we match up against just about any team... we've done well against playoff teams, even against teams like Washington. Our fate is in our own hands, really. We just need to perform.

CNBC is going to air a hockey game?

USA is going to air a hockey game?

Both of those networks are going to air sports???

FS Florida is going to air the games? That wasn't the case the last time we made the playoffs, right? I think Potvin is terrible, but I think Goldie's gotten a lot better over the years so I'm excited to hear the homer telecast during the playoffs.

Apparently they are, I guess its being shown on multiple channels

The Potvin-Islanders element is exciting, though. As is the Panthers-Isle-Luongo 1997-that's-when-we-were-good element.

Dallas will be the ones to knock out the Kings.

Eh, if the Kings get past the Sharts, they'll have to face the Ducks. If anyone is taking the Kings out, it's they Ducks. They scary.

However:

The Kings are getting this whole 'it's the Kings in the playoffs' treatment, much like the Chicago Blackhawks usually get.

I just think times are changing. Neither of those teams look that convincing. Dallas and Anaheim look convincing.

The Kings won 48 games mostly without Gaborik, they're a very good team. They're not the best team in the league, but that's not really what the playoffs determine in any sport.

Mostly without Gaborik?? He played in well over half of their games.

I'm not discounting them. They're loaded with talent. Quick can turn a game inside out in a heartbeat. I just think they have a lot more competition this season... the playing field is so leveled.

Dallas' offense gets no respect. Here's the thing... much like the Penguins, they haven't asked much from their goaltending. So, if goaltending decides to start playing well... they're nearly unstoppable.

Tbh I forgot my old username for a brief moment there.

I also remember giving Admin the option between Darth Beinfest and Dr Beinfest. Hah.

So, back in 2008... at the Florida Panthers message boards (when they existed)... we created a community ice hockey game. And, one of the attendees, as per invitation of one of the board members, was Shayne Gostibehere of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Just learned this today.

That was a frustrating loss by the Hawks. Totally outplayed them. Hate the Blues!

They need to let other teams hold the cup too!
