Bour wasn't expected back for a few more weeks anyway so this is just a procedural move to open a spot on the 40 man.

 

Also, I do like the Arcia pickup.  He's still young and I still think there's potential there.

 

 

This would be a good move, except that Arcia isn't very good at baseball.

 

 

I disagree. Arcia is actually going to show us a pretty good bat that didn't get many opportunities before.

 

 

Maybe Arcia will be the center piece for the playoff run, and be flipped at the winter meeting for a SP

 

 

Didn't think I'd say this in 2016 but I think I'd have preferred francoeur over arcia. Oh well, glad they're still looking to improve us. The team deserves reinforcements.

It's just as likely to be the wrong move though. Mostly because fuck you. 

 

i mean it's most likely an inconsequential move the guy strikes out like 50% of the time (still had a 700 ops this year), but it's better than andino or chris johnson or don kelly.

Arcia obviously killed it in the minors and was doing decently with Tampa Bay. 

 

Didnt see Dietrich get hurt anywhere. Weird.

 

 

Arcia has pop and is still 25. Ks way too much though and sucks in field.

 

 

Arcia is a good pick up. As mentioned on here, he has great pop, was putting up close to league average OPS, but Ks way too much. Obviously when you claim a guy off waivers, he isn't going to be a perfect prospect. But Arcia is a solid move, high reward low risk move. A lefty we can bring off the bench and provide pop
