And that's the knee jerk decision to give up prospects too early in the process and for the wrong guys. For example, though it's an exaggerated example... imagine Loria was doing this current rebuild the exact same way (just for the sake of my analogy), Loria would trade away Brinson at the 2018 trade deadline to get RA Dickey.
