While unproven, India can flat out rake and they profile relatively similarily defensively But he is not Senzel and he isn't rated as highly for a reason. He may be just as good or better, but he is not considered that currently. They need to get a guy who is major league ready or close to MLB ready for the simple fact that it is usually easier to project success from those guys. No guarantees as we saw with Maybin and Miller, but odds more in your favor.

It is possible these writers don't know what they are talking about, but it is concerning me a little. Overreacting. The price tag has stayed high and teams are still nearing the price tag... If the Reds won't give in there are still other teams who will. There is zero reason to settle low right now. It makes no sense. The only implication of that has come from Reds fans hoping to not have to give up so much. The interest in India is one thing based on his South Florida ties but nobody has said he would be the centerliece.

He had a horrible second year and needs to make massive adjustments he hasnt proven he can make. He is probably a better Brinson though. And younger, so sure. Upgrade over Brinson I guess.

Do you allocate your dollars elsewhere within your budget? Basically is the added offensive numbers worth the far superior long term price tag, primarily in any possible extension signed, you figure 8 mil or so arby next year and then who knows what after. Barnhardt is at 4 mil AAV. So its really down to dollars and cents. lol
January 29, 20197 yr Margot wouldn’t be the centerpiece of the deal so it isn’t that bad. Mejia will be the centerpiece. Morejon is a nice piece also but I would prefer Paddack. Mejia, Morejon, Margot, and someone like Espinoza would be a good get. We can eve throw in Conley or another reliever to make it happen.
