Maybe they would have to shrink it down to fit and they don’t want to. Also one of the Dimelo questions asked about this so maybe they went with the research on that aspect

So people may have said no to putting a fish on the front of the jersey but look at what we have now... it sure could use a fish there I think.

November 16, 20187 yr Author I never thought I'd agree with Deadspin but here's what they said about the jerseys compared to the caps... ...they’re dangerously generic, though I think I may come to really like the font. ...the Marlins’ new caps look like real winners, in a way their new jerseys don’t quite yet. The cap and logos are amazing, the jerseys just don't match up the same way.
November 16, 20187 yr So I bought a few hats. Came really close to buying a white jersey but I want the logo on the sleeve so I’ll order it. After a lot of fussing I settled on a 7 3/8 fitted cap. It’s a little looser than I’d like but the next smallest size is way too tight. Weird. Salesperson did say they would have the Authentic jerseys “soon”. I think it speaks volumes how few people were in the team store. I thought there would be a line out the door. This franchise has such a HUGE mountain to climb. The blue jersey doesn’t look as good in person. The hat looks a little better in person. The 3D Marlin is a nice touch.

Granted, the light is also behind him, so his front/the jersey is in all shadows, but again - that's the problem with the all dark look. So I bought a few hats.
