Unveiling of new logos and uniforms

Featured Replies

I love them all except the blue, very plain. But all in all I think it’s a total upgrade and I’m just glad this is over so we can all now focus on the baseball side of things again.

When they inevitably release different hat options some of them will be pure fire.

But right now my penis is very sad after being really horny for a new cap.

My take...

I love the logos and the color scheme. Amazing.

I love the cap though I'd love one with more blue but I'm confident that will come eventually. The next time they do minor tweaks I'm sure fans will have begged for it enough. We also have things like spring training and players weekend caps that get those color tweaks every so often plus I'm sure the team store will sell fashion caps in other colors including the blue.

I like the jerseys but I'm underwhelmed by them. I think people's fears of them being too plain and too dark came true. They need a little more pop a little more something and I would love to change a few things about them. They are clean looking and solid and pretty traditional which isn't bad but I think they went bold with the logos yet played it too safe with the jerseys. Again I'm looking forward to tweaks down the line.

In general right now I'll be purchasing caps and plenty of tshirts to show off what I love, the colors and logos, but I'm very hesitant about the jerseys. They just don't wow me enough like everything else does.

These are an improvement over what we had last year, but no where close to being as good as our original teal, silver and black look.

What I dislike most is how the script MARLINS doesn't connect. That looks horrible.

I don't know if this is real but ran across this..

Getting ready to head to work so I don't have the time to sort through all 14 pages or so to see if these are legit or not but that Blue one is UGLY AS F*CK.  I would NEVER buy anything that looks like that.  I don't mind the font used on the white Miami jerseys but that blue one is just so hideous that I can't feel good about any of this.  I feel like this is yet another step down from their most recent big redesign.

Yeah could have used a little more. Still ain’t digging the third. I like those concepts posted but don’t like the blue wordmark.

i forgot how the replicas don’t have patches for some inexplicable reason and how ridiculously expensive the authentics were. Ever since they switched to the flex base and use that dumb as Crap breathable skirt on the back, its made them about unwareable. Might be taking a chance waiting for the Nike deal before I grab one.

My favorite part of the jerseys is the sleeve patch... which is only on the $250 authentic but not on the $100 replica! That's a major issue for me. Might really not buy a jersey for a while. I'd buy 10 shirts with the sleeve patch design in the center before buying a jersey without it. Major dilemma. Without the patch there's no fish at all, that's killing me.

The sleeve patch on the white jersey is the best thing about the rebrand.

The blue alternate jersey looks like a fan bought a logo patch online and ironed it on the chest of their old kickball jersey.

I'm stunned by the dislike of the blue jersey. It's the design but not the color itself right? I'm super curious.

its too basic. sure simplicity is clean, but there's no wow factor about it. The logo looks small compared to other teams with similar design as well. Some black/red piping up front maybe. Like what Oakland has with its green alternate.

Yeah that covers a lot of it for me. I’m not a big fan of front numbers but they definitely could have helped the blue jersey.

Well ordered a low crown hat. 42 bucks after shipping and tax. Got to love it.

Really want the white jersey but not paying 250  for a baseball jersey especially with the tail when an authentic NHL jersey that has a more meticulous manufacturing method and the cost of the materials would appear to be higher can be had for 180 and some places around 140. Like the t shirts but there’s no winter gear. I’d buy a fleece quarter zip since it’s currently 30ish degrees where I’m at right now.

One thing I noticed about the hat is that there doesn’t appear to be any stitching inside the M on the black part for the authentic on field version. If you zoom in on the team store photo the wool pattern is clearly visible.  There is stitching there for the 3930 and other replica hats but not 5950

I’m not ordering anything online until I see it in person.  I feel like this branding can be great but the execution relies so much on textures and other things that don’t translate unless you are holding it in your hand.

Things I do like

1. The primary mark on the sleeve.  It’s even better in the closeups on the jersey. The raised patch shows the whole side of the baseball.  It’s an excellent primary mark.  I think I’ll get a t shirt

2. The number font is solid.  They blue and red really pop

3. I actually like the simple approach on the piping.  I prefer a clean neckline on jerseys and the sleeve piping could loose some of the neon effect if it is too thick.

Cons

 1. The blue jersey is missing a sleeve patch.  I think they would have been better off putting script Marlins on the blue and doing the chest patch on the black alt.  Hopefully that blue jersey has a number on the other side for th field version.

2.  The hat stitching is a letdown if my suspicion is correct

wait and see

1. Stripes on the pants

2. Belt and stirrups.

3.  Undershirts

these things matter in the execution

That’s probably going to drive me crazy and about the hat stitching. Should have elevated it.

Thinking about the jerseys, having the piping around the neck like we had would have been a big upgrade. I’m curious how the pants look

The hat looks cool, can't wait to grab it. I agree the sleeve patch is perfect.

The blue is disappointing but it looks like a BP jersey they will have the option to wear in games- like the Astros BP jersey with the tequila sunrise underarm portion.

Wonder if they'll have a separate Spring training jersey and cap like the nats unveiled Thursday.

Maybe they will have one for ST or Players Weekend.

My moneys on a ST / BP cap, a blue brim and black cap w that jersey would work well.

Keep your eyes peeled on a company called HATCLUB if we never get a blue cap, or the "caliente red", they usually unveil a few cool colorways of caps. They are a west coast company, so they may avoid MIAMI all together this time. I got a Lime Green and Blue in 2012 from that rebrand.
