So, every player from the Yelich trade is gone. Time to move on.

At least we know the player we could acquire named “Later”… maybe the Giants hope he would be another Donovan Solano …

I would trade him for small coin considerations or soda pop. He showed his lack of dedication in 2020 when he skipped out by the Covid rule.

I would genuinely be glad if that player is their ball boy. That old man is adorable!

Ah, c'mon now ...

This is the best news in Marlins history. Isan Diaz was legitimately the worst player I've ever seen get that much playing time, even for a bad team.

When dudes like Hanley Ramirez play like they don't care you're like, "but damn he's so good that he gets away with it." Isan Diaz was batting .136 and not caring, but somehow kept on getting at bats and starting games but then again it was a Don Mattingly team so it's silly to expect smart decisions.

I actually think some other team is going to figure him out and he’s gonna be good. Just like we have Mel that fixes pitchers, other teams have a “Mel” that just knows how to turn guys into real hitters.

The Giants have been fixing everybody so you could be right.

probably was traded for less than $100.

Even that would be too much for the Giants to pay.

hopefully they fix Isan too, it's probably best if he doesn't procreate

Giants > Marlins > Cardinals

Why is there a problem if someone did not want to play because of Covid?

I mean thats accurate on May 1, 2022 for sure.

Not really sure what that has to do with my comment though.

You betrayed us and you’re starting to regret it.

The Marlins are good at cranking out pitching prospects, but hitting prospects are horrendous... Look at our farm right now, almost all of our other prospects are hitting around .200 (some sub .200) and not much else to show for it.  The hitting staff / coaches needs to be re-evaluated.  I think they screwed up Bleday.

All hitting prospects in the Top 30 (Bear in mind some of our prospects like Cappe and Ian Lewis have not started yet):

Bleday .189

Salas .209

Burdick .225

Mesa Jr .239

Morissette (Cody, not Alanis) .188

Nunez (Nasim) .119

Tanner (Allen) .237

Johnson (Osiris) .172

Johnston (Troy) .229

Conine .250 (Only 2 HRs, on pace for about 15)

Rodriguez, Christian .190

I know it's only 3 weeks, but way too many low averages.  The only ones kicking ass are Jerar Encarnacion in AA at .354 and Watson .294 & 5 HRs

I see posts on Twitter saying "Bleday is expected to be promoted later this season..." - I just don't see it happening

their track record of developing hitters is so shit now at all levels i don't understand why they don't do an overhaul of their minor league hitting coaches completely.

You stopped being a fan of a team because they were dumb.

You go to a new team and the new team makes a trade with your old team. Marcell Ozuna for Sandy Alcantara and Zac Gallen. Yikes.

You’re a curse.

Imagine being owned by Mike Hill.

It's been like this for a while.  Like I said, the coaches need to be re-evaluated and probably replaced

still more playoff appearances than the Marlins in my tenure as a Cardinal fan.

Your obsession with me is so cute afterall!

Agreed, it seems pretty evident at this point that they need to overhaul their hitting department - both on-field staff and/or those that are evaluating who we are targeting.
