I enjoyed that every one of roddys pitches were either below average or very below average with one of the worst valued fastballs in mlb. Pretty good find by daddy D

Some cardinal ‘writers’ trying to spin this as a genius move is hilarious on many levels.

He should throw his slider more!!!!

They’re saying that McCullough is the first base coach for the Dodgers but considering how long that organization has been around I highly doubt that he is their first one.

This one still angers me a day later

Bendix seems to have the same answer for every question. Really hard to take it seriously.

On the managerial search:“I think we've talked to a really wide range of candidates with different backgrounds, which was really useful for kind of narrowing things down. There's so many different ways that you can be a good manager.”

Front office changes: We just understand that we need additional high-end people, that they come in all different shapes and sizes.”

On areas to target for improvement
“I'd say that we're open-minded on a lot of different things. Can always use more offense, right? You look at where our team finished in runs scored last year, I think we can do better, and that can come in a lot of different places.”

On the free-agent market
“We're always going to examine all different ways to make the Marlins better.

On the trade market
“We're going to examine always. But yes, we will be very much involved in the free-agent market. We will be very much involved in the trade market. There's a lot of different ways that we can make our club better.”

Daddy dix prob lying but fwiw

This is the same as Kim’s “monitoring the market” - aka we’ll be checking out what’s going on and maybe put out a couple of lowball/token “we tried” offers, but we won’t realistically be signing anyone…..

….except maybe a couple of the usual scrap heap guys that don’t turn into anything.

The only thing that isn’t done in different ways is his reponses.

Jake Burger didn’t reach Super Two status! Money launderers rejoice!

From what I read it seems like this was just the way the cards fell vs anything nefarious on Bruce part? I don’t rly get super 2 tho

Owners can’t really control it much. Something to do with service time

To be fair to Bendix, there is probably only so much he can say with the budget that Bruce gives him. Not much he can do if Bruce doesn’t let him spend money. He probably has no choice but to give these diplomatic, cookie-cutter responses.
