Also, to help entice Soto, the Mets are building a massive expansion to their spring training facility - our company had a chance to see the plans, and they were scrambling to get numbers together for it to be a “done deal” to help convince Soto to sign with them.

What numbers you play?

Edit: Nevermind, just saw the ticket on the fridge. 1-2-3-4-5-69. You really keep things interesting.

Those numbers are as good as any

I’m excited for us to also do nothing this offseason and hear about how they’re waiting for the “right opportunities” and targeting the right players.

Daddy dix intentionally tanked this team for that draft pick too 😂

They lost all their starting pitching without one all star hitter.

Honestly the lottery could favor tanking. If a bad team can stay in the top 1-7 and still get the #1 or #2 pick it might actually cause more teams to tank. MLB is backwards, they should enforce all teams to reach a competitive payroll amount and set the bar on how much a FA should make through an arbitration settlement if they don’t want teams tanking. Instead it’s the wild west with big market owners spending like they get free money from donations and widening the payroll gap farther from top to bottom. Average players are now going to seek higher payouts.

Salary cap and floor, make things all sorts of even.

Seems like they missed their window to do a salary cap at this point with these latest contracts. Would love a floor
