December 9, 20241 yr Author Also, to help entice Soto, the Mets are building a massive expansion to their spring training facility - our company had a chance to see the plans, and they were scrambling to get numbers together for it to be a “done deal” to help convince Soto to sign with them.

December 11, 20241 yr Honestly the lottery could favor tanking. If a bad team can stay in the top 1-7 and still get the #1 or #2 pick it might actually cause more teams to tank. MLB is backwards, they should enforce all teams to reach a competitive payroll amount and set the bar on how much a FA should make through an arbitration settlement if they don’t want teams tanking. Instead it’s the wild west with big market owners spending like they get free money from donations and widening the payroll gap farther from top to bottom. Average players are now going to seek higher payouts. Edited December 11, 20241 yr by K-Jazzzz
