  2. ...gives John Beck more time to do his thing. Pretty safe choice at #1. I agree. Would be great not seeing our quarterbacks run for their lives for once.
  3. Minor league baseball indeed :rofl
  4. Whoopsie Thank for pointing that out, I had a brainfart with the vikes. they actually have 4 superbowl losses. I fixed it. also, if this system were to award teams more for superbowls, then it would lean closer to mediocrity. Yes the Jets won a super bowl. but take it away, and they are just that. mediocre.
  5. Using the same list as dgreco, I averaged the points per year, for a better representation of the younger franchises like Carolina, and Jacksonville. I also added 1 point for winning divisions in bold since 1966 (Super Bowl I). PPY = points per year. #1 (0) - The Dallas Cowboys: 42 years, 19 div. titles. 6. Sign him to an extension now! Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn had the same thing happen to him and look at where he is now. Yeah, makin the big bucks with the Cleveland Indians. Maybe Hendrickson should go to the slammer and cut his hair with a razor and wear leather to the mound. WILD THING!!!!!!!! YOU MAKE EVERYTHIIIIINNNNG GROOOVY!!!!!!!! Oh c'mon Puma... You don't get it?
  7. Cantu's bat shouldn't be anywhere near first base. His bat will remain in the dugout. Could you please explain this logic? Alex Gonzalez batted at the bottom of the order playing shortstop. Hanley Ramirez mostly bats lead off playing shortstop. (also bounced around top of the order.) So what does his bat have anything to do with where he plays?
  8. Terrible news. There were metal detectors and searches being done apparently, so clearly the guy had an insider help him. That country is so unstable right now. It was shortly after she left the rally.
  9. I thought an aquarium with a marlin(s) was already planned. I'm not sure.
  10. So is the 25,000 seat for MLS? I remember a couple of weeks ago reading something about MLS being interested in a florida franchise. They could just use Lockhart, or FIU right? I read that Lockhart is going to be torn down after FAU builds their on campus stadium. (Similar to UCF, but one endzone left open) And any expansion team that joins MLS, must have thier own soccer specific stadium, or have one built within a few years of joining. an MLS team could play at FIU, or even Dolphin stadium, but not permanently.
  11. He could move the team and play in a minor league park and still make 10's of millions in revenue sharing and .com revenue. You really have no idea how the business of baseball works do you? Do you think the rest of the owners would let him move into a minor league park because it would take a vote by the executive committee then a vote of all the owners before he can move the team anywhere. Or is it you're blinded by your hatred you're not thinking straight? If you guys want to hate Loria that's fair. You're a fan, you are entitled to your opinion. I'm not going to tell you what to think. But if your belief system is founded on thoughts like this you really ought to take a few minutes to reevaluate your position. Actually, assuming that the lease runs out in 2010 and Huzeinga doesn't want to have the Marlins as tenants anymore, how would the owners prevent Loria from playing his home games at the Marlins' spring traning facility in 2011 (almost like the minor leagues)? Even though Huzeinga received the "tax rebate" for allowing the Marlins to play in DS, I don't think the league or the Marlins can force Huizenga to keep the Marlins as a tenant. So, while I get your point that Loria can't just up and move his team without the consent of MLB (and the owners), in 2011 Loria might be able to get away with that. If a stadium deal is reached, Huizenga said he would allow the marlins to play on year to year lease until the stadium is built.
  12. If Cam cared about keeping his job he would've drafted Quinn and he'd be starting Beck now. He doesn't care about his job, he's just insane. I wouldn't be surprised to see him take Drew Weatherford with the #1 overall pick. He's got way too many lose screws in his head. I can see it now. With the number 1 pick the miami dolphins select Kriby Freeman from Miami. Thankfully, Miami won't draft Kirby next year... unless kirby forgoes his senior year. But we could go after Kyle Wright! :mis2

Also, responding to someone else's post about D1aa considering a 24 team playoff. That would DESTROY D1 to the point where I wouldnt want to watch anymore. You would have 7-5 teams make the playoffs. The regular season wouldnt mean anything. You mean like those thrilling 7-5, 6-5, or even 6-6 bowl matchups mean anything. That is why I hate the bowl system. There just to many bowls. IN MY DELUSIONAL PERFECT WORLD, the playoffs would be no more than 10 teams, A playoff of conference champions. allow 10 team conferences to have championships, that way the Big 10 can get theirs. Also, force the independents to find a conference. Independents can't compete in post season, which is how its is done in Florida high school. The ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Big East, PAC-10, and the SEC receive seeds 1-6 based on a ranking system. The Mountain West, Western Athletic, C-USA, and Mid-American. can have a play in for the 7 and 8th seed. and demote the entire Sunbelt conference to FSC, Those guys struggle mightily outside the Sunbelt anyways. Another possibility would be all 11 conference champions getting automatic berths and 5 at large berths. 16 out of 119 still makes the regular season meaningful. or even a 24 team field, there were 35 teams that finished with 9 or more wins last year. "but it would take to long", waiting a month for your favorite team to play its last game isn't? "it interferes with exams and such", Div III, Div II, FSC and of all thing High schools don't have a problem with it. Well, thats what would happen in my perfect world. *sigh* and as for demoting and promoting, it would be a nightmare for conferences.
  14. FINALLY!!! Something good happened
  15. Figures after I switch to dish network, Comcast airs a Marlins game on Sunsports. Good first inning though.
  16. Anybody here have FSN blacked out???

If your confused about a possible game, feel free to ask, and I'll clear it up as best I can.
  18. Thats def got to sting a little. *shudders*
  19. YEE HAW!!! and YEE HAW!!!
  20. Why are they interviewing the d-bag who threw the homerun ball back? Sheesh. Well... It was a good throw
  21. I'm really getting sick of all these darned strikeouts. Marlins are on pace for a franchise record 1318 Strikeouts.
  22. The Marlins did good and took the series from the Braves good come back win. This is our first come back win after the the 9th inning this year I believe It was actually our first comeback when trailing after 6 innings, which hurt the Marlins a ton last year and needs to seriously improve. Also before tonight, the Marlins were being outscored 21-6 in the ninth, and 16-1 at home. :o
