Sadly, South Florida doesn't deserve baseball. Just because the politians hav their own agenda doesnt mean you should generalize about the community as a whole. Its quite upsetting for you to say we dont deserve a baseball team. 28th in attendance Granted, but by making these kinds of statements you really diminish the importance those of us who have truly been there thru thick and thin, those of us who have given our heart and soul to this frnachise. I think even if its just for a few hundred of us, baseball needs to stay here in SoFl.

Today I wore my Marlins hat to class and this guy came up to me and said.. "Oh look the only Marlins fan" then he said "Did you know the Marlins are not going to be around in a few years" I was going to say "No I didnt know" :lol then after class he came up to me and kept saying how the Marlins didnt deserve a stadium and they have no fans blah blah blah.. I was going to kill him. Have you ever wore you Marlins gear and had reations like this? You shoulda slapped the sh*t out of him, or :kicknutz Unfortunately I havent had the pleasure of dealing with one of these know it all smart mouths.

I like your way of thinking, but I think itll be hard to win both road games especially in NE(a.k.a. frozen tundra). But ya never know.

What bothers me is that we havent acctually heard from Loria himself, we keep hearing from Mr. "screw everybody" Samson, who just keeps making it worse every time he opens his mouth. Im wondering if Samson shoved im in the basement, did you realize we haven't heard from him since Mckeon's retirement? :mischief2 And where is Beinfest??? Where has he been during the clearance sale? Not a beep from anyone other than Samson. I wouldnt be surprised if he tied them both up and is holding them hostage while he dismantels the team. Loria is in Europe right? The way Hank put was as if Wayne did everything to help and the Marlins were just being complete aholes. Of course I wont for a second think that Wayne was doing this out of the kindness oh his heart but several times Hank made it seem as if it was placed in a silver platter for the Marlins to take, and they simply refused. I heard Hank Goldberg say this morning that Wayne H. offered the Marlins the adjacent land (about 5 acres) with "no strings attached" and the Marlins refused it. I really dont have any details, and would like to hear the marlins side of it. Hank also said, the Marlins didnt want to cover any building expenses either even if they got the land. If this is true, the Marlins are really making it difficult for anyone to deal with them. Has anyone heard anything else about this? I would like to see confirmation on that. I couldn't hear the entire show but we can sure call tomorrow morning and ask Hank if there are any published reports.

Who thinks its really over? Dont believe the hype, Hurricane season is not over. Why would you think its not over? Finally. The season from hell is less than a half hour from ending. I cannot believe what we the forecasters and you the citizens have gone through the last several months. I'd like to thank Ed Rappaport and my staff. What a job they did! Without their work hundreds of thousands could have died in the wake of one of these monster storms. I'd also like to thank members of MarlinsBaseball.com like, Beinfest4Prez, CapeFish, PBMarlin, RossInfoMan, Moneyball, and the rest, the informative threads you provided kept all of MarlinsBaseball.com updated on these violent storms. Finally, the local media, you brought a new meaning to "Up-to-the-minute coverage" with your nonstop newscasts that went on the air days before the storm and went off days after. Hopefully next year will not be as bad as many of us have predicted. As for me, I look forward to spending the next month with my wife, catching up on much need sleep, and other leisure activities. Another one is Jewel, it looks nothing like a necklace. I had no idea it was a contest either, but if you really are doing it yourself, than props to you, but I cant help but have a bit of suspicion. Yes you can, and I linked the site with the magnifying glass that you can use on the picture. Juanky mentioned that it was a diamond necklace before i even saw it was there...I just focus on one picture, scan my brain, and come up with a guess. Sheesh. Well, like I said I could be wrong, I was simlply stating what I thought. If its working for you keep up whatever you're doing. At least you're being a pretty good sport about my doubts. :thumbup
