Every year from 93, we got better, moving up one position in the division (6th in 93, 5th in 94 with the realignment, 4th in 95, 3rd in 96, 2nd in 97). Good teams don't come together out of nowhere. He built the team from the ground up when he put together a team that could be a consistent winner, Wayne-o tore it down. After that, he started putting it back together, and was a big reason we had a winning team in 2003. Dave was a great GM and still is. They didn't exactly build the team from the ground up.Alot of key players of the 97 championship, we signed as free agents in 96 or 97. I wasn't aware that the GM didn't sign FAs. Outside of that, we get more crap for that in 97 than should exist. In our starting lineup, Conine, Sheffield, CJ, and Renteria were with the team or in the system since 93. Counsell and Daulton were two key trade acquisitions. Dave did good. You can also thank him for 2003 as he brought us D-Lee, Castillo, Lowell, Gonzo, Encarnacion, Cabrera, Pavano, Penny, Dontrelle, and Beckett. Wasn't Dontrelle Beinfest, Encarnacion Beinfest in a trade with Cincy, Pavano Beinfest in a trade with MLB for Cliff Floyd? Remember, Beinfest also got rid of CJ, Preston and Hampton for Pierre and a 300k SP in SpooneyCrapper. I think Beiny was as big a plus for this organization as Dom's was. Just get it in a place where it can be covered. That's not true at all, generally (yay generalities) people who only think people with tattoos are thugs are ignorant... unless it's something blatantly dumb (gang symbol, corporate logo, prison things) I usually don't think anything of it... I never liked tattoo's on women I've either liked or thought were cute, but recently my attitudes have changed towards that. Maybe its the fact that someone I find attractive got a nice sparrow tattoo on each of her hips, or the fact that more and more my personal opinions and morals are changing as I get older- but I am slowly getting attracted to it. The Sparrows frame something perfectly, and the fact that its hidden under normal clothing is kind of appealing. Although I agree tattoo's label those who have them as either a tramp or satanic unjustly, I just may reward a loss in my body weight with two things- A tattoo in my shoulder of the NYPD Badge, and a enrollment in the MDPD. first choice is the choice- you really shouldnt consider the second choice. you had your heart set on it, and really 3 months isn't a logn timke to wait. it can give you an opportunity to set up in the city it's located and look for a place. you can enjoy the area, and when the time comes for class, your not in for the culture shock- if you feel like telling us, which schools are your choices?

Don't you love it when ESPN mentions how Ironic it is the Orioles and Royals are leading their division after being miserable last year and being the favorite to finish last in the standings- then they splash on the screen the records and division rankings. Don't you think some credit should be given to the Marlins- here for the long term or short term; they are competing and are pretty entertainign to watch.
