BobbyBowden
I met him at Hard Rock and he was nothing but nice to me and my friends. We even tried to buy him a drink and he wouldn't accept it. My friend and I told him we are big fans and he said thanks very much and keep supporting the team.

Big_Rob
I've talked to him twice and he was real cool. After away games he always comes out and plays with the children of the other players, just goofs around until some autograph seeking douche realizes who he is. His girlfriend/fiancee however, I have seen her be an a**hole. She was sitting behind me at a game and was bagging on these little kids who were all excited about getting Mike Jacobs T-shirts. I don't mean a little bit, she wouldn't let it go. That was that Jewish celebration / Mike Jacobs giveaway day. Then in LA Dtrain's agent, Matt, introduced her to Nolasco's mom (his agent as well) and she didn't say a word, looked at Matt all disgusted and walked away. Matt asked her what was wrong and she just started shaking her head. Not a very nice person in my experience.

The_Punisher
My sister used to serve Dontrelle and his girlfriend (now fiance/wife) at TGI Fridays in Miami all the time and she said he was the nicest guy in the world. He even signed a few magazines that he was on the cover of for her to give to me (which now grace my bedroom wall). He didn't even drink alcohol, he always ordered lemonade... You can't dislike a guy like that. that's cause your sister probably has huge jugs LOL, just playing. Anyways, I don't think Dontrelle would do that. Hanleylicious
I honestly think you're just full of it (whoever started this thread) either that or you're extremely annoying and Dontrelle was justified in telling you to shut up. I've met Dontrelle in 2003 before winning the World Series and R.O.Y. than again in 2005 and again in 2006. And each time he's still been the same, genuinely nice person. Money and fame hasn't seemed to faze this guy at all. Which (IMO), in return leads to his likability factor by not on Marlins fans but fans of the game in general. syder21
Willis leaves with triceps painBY CLARK SPENCER [email protected] Dontrelle Willis was removed from Sunday's season finale against he Philadelphia Phillies because of a sore left triceps after throwing just 19 pitches. But, even though the pitcher is scheduled to undergo further testing today as a precaution, the injury is not believed serious. ''He was trying to stay in like he always wants to,'' said manager Joe Girardi, who lifted Willis in the top of the second inning. ``I had to convince him he's got to think long-term and next year for this club.'' Willis balked at leaving the game when Girardi and trainer Mike Kozak visited the mound for the second time in the inning after catcher Matt Treanor had alerted them that something wasn't right with the pitcher. Third baseman Miguel Cabrera tried to console Willis, escorting him back to the dugout, but the angry pitcher threw his glove once inside. ''I'm a selfish guy when it comes to that,'' Willis said. ``What good am I if I can't pitch? What good am I if I can't do what got me here?'' Willis, a workhorse, has thrown a total of more than 250 innings over the past two seasons, not including his participating in the World Baseball Classic last winter. He said he has experienced fatigue in the triceps before. Sunday's game was rendered virtually meaningless after the Phillies were eliminated from playoff contention on Saturday. But Willis refused to believe that. ''There ain't no game that's meaningless,'' he said. Girardi said Willis has tendinitis of the triceps, but X-rays taken Sunday showed no damage. Willis is also scheduled for an MRI today. JUST SHORT Cabrera came up short in his bid to win the NL batting title, finishing with a .339 average. Pittsburgh's Freddy Sanchez went 2 for 4 to win the title with a .344 average. Girardi tried to aid Cabrera's cause by installing him in the leadoff spot for the first time in his career. But after striking out twice, the word was received that Sanchez had singled his first two times up. Cabrera told Girardi ''I'm done'' and was taken out of the game. ''I've told Miggy on many occasions I will not take him out, you need to come tell me because I want you to win this,'' Girardi said. 'And he came up to me and said `Freddy's 2 for 2 and I'm 0 for 2. I'm done.' '' A lot of players including Willis are just mad that the season was ending and all the bulls*** that is going on at the locker room. Accord
I met him in early 2003 literally the day after he was called up. He was signing autographs with Ramon Castro at a table set up outside Gate H and my friend and I first thought he was Juan Pierre when we saw him, then we were disappointed we met some no name scrub named Dontrelle Willis and his signature was a waste of a perfectly good baseball. We were more excited about meeting and getting Ramon Castro's autograph. Little did we know......
