HungryFish06
Great comeback win and 7 in a row. 23-14 and 1st in the NL East. Hanley probably signed long term. Can it get better than this? Yes. Yes it can. Discuss if you wish. Also, I feel I should post this: And I also compiled "wins" for game threads, in order of first game thread created. Please correct me if this is incorrect. Everlong204
Good game. Olsen got into a little trouble but battled through out the day and the offense came through for him. Very good game. Hopefully we will keep gobbling up these games that we should be winning. If we can keep doing that, then the 10 games starting May 26th will start the true test for this team. SonataArctica121
I want us to start facing some real teams to see what we are. We have only faced like the mets and Dodgers as winning teams and I dont need to remind you how those series went . . .
CYmarlins
This was a good game, liked how Olsen kept us in the game and allowed used to come back and win it. Uggla had a nice game and we finished up with a sweep!

Erick
Positives 1. I thought the biggest positive was Olsen. Last year, he doesn't even keep us in this game. He gives up 4 runs, and still...if we are an AL team, Olsen could've actually gone the complete game...he threw about 10 pitches per inning. 2. DAN UGGLA! The man is hot, ever since being moved (as we said should've happened a long time ago). Also, how about Hermida? I jinxed the Nats on the gamethread, and said Hermida only had 2 HR's, and...BAM! 3. The bullpen (again). Kensing, Pinto, and Gregg get the job done. Kensing, the scoreless inning in the 7th (W), Pinto the scoreless inning in the 8th (hold), and Gregg the scoreless 9th (save). Beautiful. 4. Best record in the NL! (if Boston loses tonight, we'll have the best record in baseball!) 5. 11-5 on the road; 8-1 against the Nats; 7 wins in a row!! 6. The winning streak coming without Willingham...and the past 4 games without Willingham AND Jacobs. 7. The 7th 1 run win of the season shows that this team can win close...VERY important. 8. A late-inning comeback win...a new way of winning. Negatives Ummm...ah, w/e...I seriously can't find one!
Admin
We have the best record in baseball actually as of this second before Boston plays. We are percentage points ahead of them.
Tee Ball Bunt Machine
I want us to start facing some real teams to see what we are. We have only faced like the mets and Dodgers as winning teams and I dont need to remind you how those series went . . . The Brewers were a winning team when we first played them this year, and we went 5-1 against them. They are only one game below 500 and will probably be a winning team again soon. Atlanta is another over 500 team that we've played and not lost a series to. Anyways, by this kind of logic, the Nationals must have the record they have because they are only playing good teams, not because they are actually bad. Lets be serious - this is a good team. A bad team playing other bad teams goes 500, maybe. We are 9 games over 500.

We have only faced like the mets and Dodgers as winning teams and I dont need to remind you how those series went . . . The Brewers? They're 3 games over .500 (except we went 5-1 against them). And the Nats are 1-8 against us...they're 14-15 against every other team (not terrible). Our wins aren't factored into this whole "playing opponents over .500" theory. If we beat the Dodgers 2 out of 3, they would've become a "weak" team, too. It's too early for strength of schedule. Wins are wins... I was at the game with my Wife and my Brother in Law, right before that swing he yelled "Do it for Mama!" I guess Jeremy loves his Mama. knglover
Just a quick note on the game today. I think it was the end of the 7th or 8th and Hermida caught a flyball right near the line and ran past about 25 Nats fans to throw me the ball and also thanked me for the support as he ran by. Great experience and I think these guys are really anxious to get their fanbase something to cheer for. Awesome game to see in person too!
