Marlins sweep the Phils 12-3!

W: Johnson (11-2)

L: Moyer (10-9)

2B: C Ross (29), H Ramirez (32), C Coghlan (15)

HR: W Helms (2)

SB: C Ross (4), H Ramirez (20)

Hooray! Great series. Nice to bounce back after getting swept by the Nats.

Hopefully we can gain some ground in the WC standings if the Reds can hang on and win.

COG ARMY, BITCHES!!!

This is so good for us to go from getting swept by the bottom feeders of the division and then turning around and sweeping the division leaders! I like it when we gain 3 games in 3 days!

Let's keep it going tomorrow!

:cool

JJ was good as always and how about Cogs. The kid is on fire. Even with out nick behind him he was killing the ball. Hanley all with some big hit. I also loved the Philly favortie Hlms went deep of lidge.

C.C. for FOTG.

Solid outing for J.J. and good job by the offense to hit Moyer well today.

Still if we took at least 1 Game from the Nats we could have been 3 out but we did a good job sweeping the Phils in Philly and taking the momentum going into the home stand.

great series and a huge and id say unexpected performance after the disaster in washington.

very impressed by coghlan with great work from ricky and JJ as well as the pen.

I told you guys after the nats swept the fish...

its baseball things happen.

we got swept by the nats.

come back we sweep the phils.

im going to ry to go to one of the astros games, great sweep but we still should have at least taken 2 outta 3 from nats...oh well thats the past i care about the future

In baseball there is very little "should have". I mean, if you go on paper, the Phillies probably should have taken 2 of 3 from us.

Coggs all the way...he even got the new franchise record for consecutive multi-hit games...

Nice fill in for Mr. Helms.

But yea, cant wait until the day Ross bats 5th

Wow am I dissapointed in BBTN, they didn't show any marlins highlights. All they talked about was Victorino getting ejected from center. " oh yeah the fish swept the phillies."

Coghlan was awesome, JJ pitched a great game after a dodgy 1st, but Hermida deserves ENORMOUS credit for the double play in the 1st inning. We could of easily ended up 3 or 4 down in that innings since JJ was all over the place, but Herm made a fantastic catch and strong throw to 1st base to get Victorino.

Coghlan has to be leading all NL rookies in BA and possibly OPS and OBP after this recent tear (batting .285 as opposed to .252 when the month began).

BIG Sweep... Definitely put me in a good mood after the disaster in DC... Now we must at least go 4-3 on the homestand but 5-2 would be HUGE...

Arizona's Gerardo Parra is hitting .295. Gordon Beckham is out doing him in BA/OBP/OPS but he's only had 201 AB, similar is Casey McGehee. Nolan Reimold is out OBPing and OPSing CC too. I'm pretty sure Dexter Fowler is a rookie and he's outdoing him there as well.
