Continental park. 45 min.

Oriole park at camden yards. 70 minutes. At the lobby. See you there. Bring a sign that says "squall". You already know my face.

"Clutch hitting"

that's almost as bad as "the way he plays the game"

Only $249 flight. Give me 3.5 hrs

I just checked the last flight from MIA is at 10:30, so yeah...

Why don't you take your trolling ass to the nearest Winn-Dixie.

Just name the one....you'll find a few of us.......how about if we meet in the produce section, near the squash.

Then I won because I don't give a shit enough to check for a flight I clearly wouldn't take.

It is called gamesmanship. Try it one day. Girl.

The nearest winn dixie is 236 miles away, in cantanicville,nc. Sorry.

Well dont feel bad, the negativity has come from himself partly the last five years - the lack of clutch hitting and perhaps not resulting in more wins. Other factors are shoddy management, bad pitching, terrible ownership. All this can result in bad years all around. Stanton should be happy if we offered 12 million a year for the next five years. He certainly doesnt deserve 20 and for that matter nobody does. I dont understand why you invest 20 mil a year for ten years when you can take that 200 million and invest in five or six good players.

I don't know why you dislike management because they seem to evaluate players the same way you do, with clutch hitting and RBIs.

If you think Stanton (potential NL MVP) is that bad, wait til you see the Marlins offense without him.

Offense will go from dead to zombie, i get you. But....thats why you trade him. For major league ready guys. And of course the rebuttal would be that there is no guarantee an improvement would be made anyway. Face it, we are all fans here and judging by this week, we just aint ready to be in that spotlight. Can we agree on that?

The team is probably going to trade him anyway but they messed up big. And they're probably not going to learn from their mistakes and wait to offer Yelich a contract also.

We could have a good core to work around: Fernandez, Alvarez, Heaney*, Stanton, Ozuna, Yelich. We don't even know if Dietrich is a viable long-term option in the infield cause of how they're bouncing him around. Who trusts this organization to make and execute a long-term plan?

I will say this though and again i like stanton but i get so insanely pissed off at his strikeouts its unbelivable, but, if you do trade him, marlins park will draw 8,000 a night. That i can see happening. Sad.

Would you feel better if he flew out to left?

You really are ridiculous.

There's really only one place where that's better, and it's runner on 3rd less than 2 outs. How often do we get that? And even if that were the case, he'd get walked most likely. So yeah, an out is an out.

True an out is an out. And to the other. Lol. Yeah. I would feel better if he flied out to left. I feel strikeouts out of all things give pitchers the confidence they need to get a particular person out. Easy to see why he strikes out three times in a game. But that pitcher gets the first one, he knows what to do. And before everybody and their mothers bash me for the millionth time, i feel the same way about saltalamacchia and ozuna until recently. The guy you should all be focusing on to build around is yelich. Sure he strikes out just like everybody else does, but nobody can deny his plate discipline.

Oh one more thing comparing trout to stanton. When trout strikes out, it is around the plate. How many times have you seen stanton reach eight feet to swing at something. Or taking a pitch down the middle then swinging like a banshee with a 3-2 count. It never fails.

Vince, did you know Yelich strikes out 21.5% of the time this year?

Salty and Ozuna are nowhere near Stanton's skill level.

You're actually right on trout. He only swings at pitches outside the zone 24.6% of the time whereas Stanton is at 30.7%. However, Stanton swings at much more pitches inside the zone so I wonder if trout is getting a lot of called strike 3s which is upping his k count.

But anyway, and you know this, your Stanton hate is borderline troll worthy. The guy excels at the top of the league in pretty much every category except strikeouts. It doesn't matter if it's a close game or a blow out, Stanton mashes.

Um, did you watch the rangers game on 8/19? Not sure his defense is up there for elite level status. But it did make for a great laugh (only because we won)!

And can someone please define what qualifies as "trolling"? Kind of getting sick of people tossing it around only when it seems convenient when one disagrees with the author of a post.

I am not a trolling expert, but any argument that Stanton should "be happy" with a 5/$60 deal after this offseason or is not a top top top first tier bedrock foundation player in MLB right now because he whiffs a bit falls under "inciting the masses" and that person clearly lives under a bridge because they have no idea what is going on right now.

Moral of the story: maroins do the best they can now at this point, give stanton his first winning record while he is here. Get some pieces this offseason. Try to contend in 2015. If out of it by july 31, trade him. Make one offseason proposition to him now 6 yrs/15 million per year. If he rejects, oh well. Good health is more important than money anyway and by seeing the way he talks and how humble he is, i think he knows that.

Sdg one thing i will not fault is his defense. A TON better this year than previous. Plus, run saving catches. I just think the hitting needs improvement, in big situations.

Yep, let's take one single example that was a true WTF moment and use that to negate the entire season of great plays. Fucking stupid.

Vince, how many times do we have to show you stats where Stanton has excelled at "big situations"? The thing about stats is that they are you know facts and can't really be argued against.
