CyggyMarlin
0-33 RISP. Im not even mad. It's more sad than anything else. And I'm really tired of Cody (his bat anyway) And Wes Helms - After Stanton, the rest of the line-up was a dud - Logan and Mike combined for 2 - 6 with 2 BB and Dan was 3 - 4, everyone else sucked ... If this team is gonna play like sh*t anyway the rest of the season, then let's give Maybin another look right now
yokofox33
This team is pathetic.
Bret Hart
9-20 all-time against Bucs, longtime below .500 team. What a shame. Cody still had Only 2 Rbi in August. Tankersley : Another 1st round draftee mistake
Fishes on the Pond
HanRam just isn't Hanley again. When he does hit tonight he popped it up or hit directly to a Pirate :confused LoMo, Gaby and Ugz have higher averages, and Stanton over the last month has a better average. His keeps going up. Hopefully Hanley has a better year next year.

Tankersley : Another 1st round draftee mistake same with brett sinkbeil, ryan tucker?, and it still remains to be seen with dominguez and skipworth though i dont have my hopes up. and hasnt anyone noticed how utterly f***ing terrible volstad is in the 6th inning of starts? even on a night like tonight when he was cruising. it seems to happen every damn start. barring a 10 game win streak starting tomorrow, we better start planning about how were going to gear up for next year. we have the pieces and now we need to spend some f***ing money and get a bullpen as well. i think tank, wes, and sadly maybe cody have worn out their welcomes. h2r09
This is what I do for next year. Sign Uggla longterm and sign nolasco for a deal that pays him like the #3 starter he is on a contender. Let Helms retire and for god sakes never allow Tankersley near a baseball. Like i've been saying, forget the stats, watch him pitch, Tankersley is AWFUL. Get rid of the following guys for next years team- Sanches (not bad but nothing special), Volstad (give him another full year in AA or AAA), West (give him another half year in AAA), Brett Hayes (please bring back the combo of Baker and Paulino if healthy though), Helms (he's done), Luna, Tracy. Resign Ohman and sign Anibal to a 3 year deal as well. We need to sign a # 2 veteran, proven starter (preferably a lefty), a defensive minded bench utility player, definitely K-Rod if he gets his contract voided or another veteran closer, a lefty power bat off the bench. We need this lineup next year: Maybin- CF Coghlan- 3B Hanley- SS Stanton- RF Uggla- 2B Morrison- LF Gaby- 1B Catcher Duo- C Pitcher Then our rotation should be- JJ Veteran Proven solid #2 Nolasco Anibal Lefty Vet or Sean West Bullpen- Closer- Hopefully K-Rod if he is voided but if not another proven closer Set-Up- Nunez Set-Up- Hensley Middle- Ceda Middle-Veras Middle- Ohman Middle- Marinez LR- Badenhop Bench- Bonifacio Donnie Murphy Rick Ankiel (cheap power lefty bat, versatile in field) Scott Cousins I know this is spending a lot, just f***ing pissed. canada-marlin24
there are plenty of guys who should be back and even some bullpen guys like ohman and veras. i think murphy as well for a bench role. but we have some shopping to do. That's not going to happen. Plus, I think you have more than 25 guys listed; if you don't, you're definitely carrying 8 relievers, when the number is normally 7. fanofthefish
Why didn't they use Ohman in that situation? C'mon its Two lefties, remember Tank is a loogy! He can only get one guy out,oh wait he can't. I don't know what the stats say, but it seems like every single lefty they've run out there this year (Ohman excluded for now) has just pissed gas all over the fire. Tank keeps this up and he'll be replace Pinto as the most despised Marlin of 2010.

AeroFishOne
Im Still enjoying the fact that Cody Ross since saying "trade me and the seasons over" has done absolutely jack Sh**. Volstad was inconsistent as ever. Throws a crappy first a few more good innings then completely loses it.

AeroFishOne
Your right, he didnt want to be traded. The way he worded the quote when he said it was " if im traded the season is over." Implying that he was valuable to the team and that trading him would be a sign of a wasted season.
