December 30, 201014 yr Since we are in a sharing mood...Friend of mine snapped some pics of the new stadium. This was from the beginning of December: There are a bunch more but I'm too lazy to post em. Enjoy.
December 30, 201014 yr My friend's dad's company has already booked season tickets for one of those skyboxes. I was about to kill him when I heard it cost 280k, but then I went on to hug him when he told me I'd be the first person he brings up there.

Divided by 81 games.......And then more $$$$ for playoffs. Wow x 2. Oh wait, that includes parking and food. We toured them at the Sales Center and they are really super nice. But to us it seemed more like watching the games at home on a real big screen TV. That's not a knock on the experience, and it's not like we could afford it anyways. Whatever happened to the stores and restaurants that we were told were going to be part of the complex and would be open year round? Last year we were even told this year's Holiday Party would be held on the premises, so we all figured it would be at one of those restaurants.
December 30, 201014 yr Yeah that first rendered picture is pretty impressive looking. Pretty sure the Marlins will be awarding Admin and MB.com a skybox for all members to use free of charge. .... What, no?

Ya I'm not a fan of skyboxes as much as I am of regular seats but it's free and he's really cool for having invited me. I don't really eat much food at sporting events but I can't pass this up lol. I'll be having 3 of everything on the menu
December 30, 201014 yr Pics look great!! A friend of mine works for them, so I'll be going to the sales center sometime in late January to get a peek for myself.... Can't wait until April 2012!!

March 14, 201114 yr Author Looks like they are not going to have the water/pool feature in the front. they gone away from it the last few renderings. That sucks I thought it was really cool looking.
March 14, 201114 yr The bottom section under the glass looks a lot more blue than the rendering at the top of this thread. Colour scheme implications......

Too many trees. front looks plain. Wouldn't you prefer an atmosphere like Boston's or Cubs stadium? It's beautiful don't get me wrong, it just doesn't scream BASEBALL in my opinion. Can't wait either way.
March 15, 201114 yr Damnit. That pool looked so great. Why can't they change the potential monstrosity in center field..
March 15, 201114 yr Those stadiums arent "miami." This stadium fits very well. See AAA. I agree those stadiums are not "Miami", but as a whole they have that baseball atmosphere. I just feel like once the novelty wares off it's going to hurt baseball here in the long run. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. I don't know, nobody else is worried?

I think that'd look terribly out of place in Miami, though. Doing that wold actually be much more novelty than this.
March 16, 201114 yr Looks like they are not going to have the water/pool feature in the front. they gone away from it the last few renderings. That sucks I thought it was really cool looking. That's extremely disappointing to me - it looked far better with the pool, IMHO.

March 16, 201114 yr Yea. and now apparently there are people walking all over the place where the pool was to be. How f***ing rude. They're probably looking for the pool! "Honey, where's the pool?" "I don't know - I thought it was supposed to be right here!"

"I don't know - I thought it was supposed to be right here!" Suddenly the ground opens up, the pool is revealed, and they're actually standing on a thick glass surface. Awesome.
March 22, 201114 yr I just noticed that the original picture has the Marlins text on top of the roof. Please don't do this
