November 4, 201115 yr Braves are apparently shopping both him and jurjjens. Martin Prado at third? He's coming off a bad year so maybe we can steal him and he wouldn't cost much more than 4-4.5 million.
November 4, 201115 yr And Jurrjens? That's a surprise. I wouldn't mind Prado, but it depends on the asking price.
November 4, 201115 yr Author Dominguez and hand? Is it too little? Just for prado i would do that. prado had a very good 2009 and 2010 and i think he can bounce back.
November 4, 201115 yr Why would they do this? At best he would be stopgap and the Marlins for far too long have invested in players that they think can "bounce back" while to me he wasn't that impressive before last season to warrant that kind of contract. While I'm not entirely sold on Boni he gives up a versatile player that can hit close to .300 and will steal more bases than Prado.
November 4, 201115 yr I expected Jurrjens to be on the block, not Prado though. Problem with Jurrjens is he is a Boras guy, which I believe is arbitration eligible. I say we offer them a back up catcher coming off of injury, and a closer with immigration and identity issues, plus they have to pick up the salaries...see if they bite.

November 4, 201115 yr Don't know why the Braves are shopping Prado. He had a down year, but they are definitely selling him low here. I'd take him for sure if the price is right

No I'm not serious....really???? C'mon man! Well, the part about Jurrjens, I was, but the trade scenario would never happen.
November 4, 201115 yr .350+ OBP three of his last four years, durable as hell, +3 career at 3B. Definitely.
November 4, 201115 yr Here's an idea. If the Marlins sign Buehrle or Wilson trade Nolasco for Prado straight up.
November 4, 201115 yr wouldn't mind him one bit depending on the pricetag. i'm still hoping we resign Dobbs as a bench guy as well. Regardless if we snag any of the top tier FA's there's ZERO excuse for not having a great bench going into next season.
November 4, 201115 yr Here's an idea. If the Marlins sign Buehrle or Wilson trade Nolasco for Prado straight up. The Braves are looking to shed salary. Why wold they want to take on Nolasco's? They would just keep Jurrjens then.
November 4, 201115 yr Why wouldn't they want the godly salary that is Ricky Nolasco? Hey... can't say I wasn't sh*t talking that contract from the minute it was signed. But then again, he had me fooled at the beginning of the season, too.
November 5, 201115 yr Skipworth?...maybe as a throw-in but not as a main component in a trade He literally has no trade value whatsoever
November 6, 201114 yr Can we dump Skipworth on them? Because I'd love that after the Uggla fleecing. Skipworth just makes me angry when I see his name. What a horrible pick. That alone should get Beinfest out of here.
