Baseball life after Marlins 2015

Featured Replies

what are the three things you look forward to since our season is done in the 2015 season.

1. Somehow nationals miss the playoffs

2. A blue jays appearance in the World Series hopefully playing the mets or even cubs

3. What happens to our shakeup on Monday October 4th? Jennings, hill, dombrowski, etc.

1. 2016

2. Mike Dunn not pitching

3. Casey Gidp McGehee not hitting clean up

im petrified for the 2016 season

As long as the FO didn't hear your idea of Justin Bour playing CF, it can't be worse than 2015.

its all good. Getting tired of bour. He has a bad attitude. We have so many people who arent major league ready.

I got the Astros to win the World Series at 50/1 before the season started. got that going

just hoping for a massive purge of the junk parts that have no business being on this team starting with Jennings leaving the dugout and guys such as Dunn, Mathis, Solano(s), Hand, and McGehee never donning a Marlin uniform again. I'm torn on the idea of Ichiro coming back.  I would have liked to have seen what he did if he was used in the way he was intended to be used when we first acquired him which is a 4th OF and not an every day starter.  But meh, whatever, if he's back, he's back and if he's gone, i won't shed a tear either.

Finding another team

Cheering For Another Team

Experiencing Post-season again with another team

I really cannot comprehend why some people here are rooting for the Mets.

I know it's in fashion to say "aw f*ck the Mets lol", but I'm rooting for them since they're giving me a real 2003 Marlins vibe. Built around great starting pitching and defense, a now well run organization with some real fun players and a winning attitude. I understand the stupidity of "oh, they're our rivals we should hate them grr", but I just can't. The Mets are what I hope the Marlins use as a model for success. They literally started with the same "build around Matt Harvey and David Wright" formula that we say (build around Jose and Stanton).

They found some random gems (deGrom, Colon), did amazing to trade a guy at his top value (Dickey for d'Arnaud and Syndergaard), spent in free agency efficiently (Granderson on a great deal after an injury plagued season).

They built through the draft, free agency, and trade. Basically doing everything that needs to be done to build a winning team. I have absolutely no reason to dislike the Mets other than the fact that they're the Mets. I want the Marlins to be far more like the Mets.

Hate to say it, but I was thinking the same thing the other day

I can't fuckin stand the Mets and I refuse to cheer them on. But damn they're a fun team to watch this year. As exciting as they've been as long as I've been a fan.

They are the Mets. They are a division rival. Their fans hate us. We should not be rooting for them.

It's like people forget that they were public enemy No. 1 for a four or five-year stretch.

And P.S. They are not the 2003 Marlins. The 2003 Marlins actually had a decent offense.

Before I start my new accounting job I already asked for Wednesday through Friday off at my soon to be ex work. Guess where I'm going!? I had such a good time in citi I will go to the Rockies mets game Wednesday and I'm pumped go mets!

Oh you are just the worst kind of fan. I'm not even giving a real response to this.

To say they are a division rival would mean the Marlins were more than an afterthought.

The Marlins have no division rivals...the very idea that they are competitive enough have a rival is laughable.

The Marlins are a joke and exist merely to help good teams pad stats, provide a place to stash MLB talent until its "rosterable" on an actual franchise, and to serve as a comparable baseline in the MLB machine.

Right now I'm rooting for a Mets collapse, and the eventual Yankee collapse since they have no pitching and in the playoffs that's not going to work.

I see marlins at 30 espn power rankings. Un fucking acceptable.

I mean we do have the worst record in baseball, and now we don't have a good farm system to fall back on, so it's where I would put us
