Who is in RF?

Featured Replies

This may sound like the Old Abbot & Costello skit...

Who the Hell is going to be playing Right Field for the Marlins next season?

Will it be Dietrich?

Will it be JB Shuck?

John Norwood...Austin Dean...Isaac Galloway???

Who will it be?

As of right now probably Sierra. Hope not though and he starts in AAA. Still have more deals to make.

Sierra will likely play CF

I know someone like Erick will step in and say he sucks or whatever, but I really wish they had kept Ichiro around. He's a shadow of his former self but still enjoyable to watch if the team isn't competing for anything. It's fun watching him slowly inch his way up the all-time hit chart and his defense is still solid.

Also, the Marlins didn't really save that much money by cutting him loose when you consider the buyout.

Actually, I wouldn’t mind having Ichiro on the 2018 team. Maybe they bring him back.

If Yelich is here I don’t think he will.

they will sign a few cheap guys before the year to fill a few holes on the roster so they dont have to be too aggressive with a guy like Sierra who isnt ready to play every day.

I'd say Garrett Cooper as of right now.

forgot about him too.  If bour stays, he is probably the guy.

Way too early to be filing out the lineup.  Still plenty of time for trades and free agent signings.  It really isn’t about who is playing where in Marlins Park next year.  Its about restocking the farm.

There's no one in right field right now. It's December 15th. It'd be stupid to be standing there this early.

Yeah but there are as many fans at Marlins Park now today as there will be for non-Mets games during the season. Easy to see how a player may have gotten confused.

If Yelich is still here by openning day, I would say the OF will be Dietrich in LF Yelich in CF and Braxton Lee in RF.  Of course they could acquire some journeyman to fill the gap.  I would actually like to see Braxton Lee get a shot.

Cows and horses are usually a good start.
