June 22, 20197 yr Let's not get too excited here. I think we should hold off on selling low on Anderson. This is his second year in the league he is 24, still cheap, he is only going to get better. Let's wait a bit. I think there is something to be said for shopping Smith, and Richards. I think there is also an argument to be made that both are off limits. I think this should come down to your plans in the next year or so. Anderson was 25 last year. Unless he found a way to age in reverse or he found the fountain of youth that Juan Ponce de Leon used to pitch against us this week, I don't see how he would be 24 this year.
June 22, 20197 yr Any reliever that draws interest. I would hold on to Quijada and Brigham, but trade any of the others. Maybe Steck too. His struggles this year could have been injury related and he has been decent in the past. I say give him the chance to repair his trade value.

July 5, 20197 yr Just keep Rojas. Rojas is kinda like the "new" Prado for this team from when Prado used to be good and his hamstrings weren't made of wet tissue paper (no, i know the bat isn't quite to par but it's not far off either) - kinda odd considering Prado is still with the Marlins. That said, if they get a decent offer you still have to move him - he's the kind of player that's key for a team with real aspirations of winning it all since he's so versatile in the field and doesn't embarass himself with the bat either. Most title winning teams do have that super utility guy on their team which is what Rojas certainly would qualify as. He can certainly start on a regular basis as well - but he wouldn't be an everyday starter on a playoff team most likely so none of the middling or bottom feeding teams will likely put an offer out there for him as there would be no point. Also, if any of the bullpen arms get even a respectable offer - you move them. There is not a single lights-out type of bp arm on this roster and the bp is generally the easiest part to fix in an offseason whether it's through FA or even just converting a starter to long relief or calling some kids up. Legit shut down type guys in the bullpen that can do it from year to year are really rare (when you consider how many there are in MLB) and every year new guys step up and assume that role. It's probably the most volatile part of any MLB roster. If for some reason Richards doesn't work out as a starter he would make a devastating relief arm, though in my opinion since he does have that stupidly good out pitch. I really don't want to see him moved. Such a shame that Urena had to go and get himself injured.

Conley has no value right now. Nobody's going to want Granderson. The Urena injury puts him out of the equation. Somebody should trade for Rojas, he is exactly the kind of valuable bench asset a contender requires

The Yankees gladly gave him up as part of the Stanton deal. He has 0 value with that contract and I doubt the Fish will pay part of his contract and ship him out. Just another waste of money ala Chen. This is the really the first time that Rojas has any value outside of being a backup so hopefully some team overpays for him. I can’t see him being part of the rebuild already being over 30

Brice should be shopped, and should get us something. He has no real long term value to us (based on his past), but he's on a hot streak. Get what you can. Rojas (as much as I'd hate to see him go), and Walker as well. If Castro can continue to play well, he might find some value at the deadline, but he's not there yet.

When he's on, he's untouchable, but he can't be that consistently. I thing he ultimately ends up being a nice mid-inning arm out of the pen for us. Somebody that can run through the order once, and get us to the late innings.
