If they had started with this combo and this color balance from the start of this rebrand it would have been much more well received. It's the right balance of new school while still paying homage to the classic look.

TA has long been a good fit for this team and what they're trying to do right now and waiting this long to sign him probably makes a ton of sense and pretty much any team that was gonna sign him was gonna do the same. It just looks weirder because of the way the offseason has gone for the Marlins but this is exactly the type of guy who was gonna always get a low level offer once pitchers and catchers reported. Or in other words, there was zero reason for Tim Anderson to be a big ticket free agent in November/December.

Good landing spot for him as well as the team. Great place to rebuild value.

Would love if it was just one of a couple additions though. It never really seems like the Marlins make "bad" moves it's more like they either don't make any moves or enough moves but most of the moves are strong individually. Give me TA + one more at least.

For once I dont blame the Marlins for being 'cheap' with Tim Anderson.

He is in some type of fantasy land thinking he is getting a multiyear guaranteed contract coming off the 2023 season he had!

I expect 10M to 15M range as AAV of Anderson.
