May 5, 20242 yr Can someone tell me how the Marlins have the second worst farm in baseball after the Ozuna, Stanton, and Yelich trades? I need to figure out that riddle.

I need to figure out that riddle. Those were six years ago now so one would hope that the results of those trades would mean we have a great core at this point, farm be damned. Of course you'd also hope that the team would have developed someone on their own, but alas.

May 6, 20242 yr Gotta love how Bendix spoke about the Arraez trade and said the Padres offer was “too good to walk past.” and also said there’s no “definitive timeline” for a return to competitiveness….and that the Arraez move was the first in a “series of difficult decisions” ….aka another rebuild, especially considering they got players that are still a couple years away. I’m still going to follow and post out of habit, but I’m having a hard time seeing another rebuild through…
May 6, 20242 yr Not that he was the issue obviously but... We weren't exactly lighting the world on fire even with Arraez this season. *shrugs*

For gods sake what was the point of including the suk-go? Pointless to add a reliever during an obvious rebuild, he’s only on a two year contract so he won’t ven be here when their plan inevitably fails, he got ripped in spring and is getting ripped in the minors. Head is a complete wild card and the other dudes have never had any success in the minors.

I assume they are hoping he improves in the minors or even a stint in majors before deadline so they can spin him off to a contender. As for the other guys never having success in minors, I have to disagree with you. But this mindset you have is questionable. How many times have teams acquired "top prospects" with "solid minor league numbers" and seen them bust?
