All-time *sigh* What Could Have Been team
C-Mike Piazza- Come on, only 5 games!?! Instead of being arguably the Mets' best all-time hitter, he could have just as easily been wearing a "F" on his eventual HOF plaque. I have what I believe are all of his cards in a Marins uniform, including a gme used jersey card! I need to ask you to first, send me a PM with what cards you have. I too feel like I have alot of Fish Piazza Cards, so lets see if we can pair up. I currently have about 400 of his cards, mostly 1993 to 2002. Then, go buy yourself a beer and say to everyone its from me. Thanks Chris Piazza31

Team Colors
Honestly, an orange alternate wouldnt be bad. And changing the jerseys back to the 1997 to 2002 vests with a black cap and teal brim wouldnt be bad either. I feel like i'm watching the Raiders when I root for the fish.

Uggla and Olsen to Colorado for Torrealba?
First of all, that trade is horrible. It's so horrible I can't even think about it. I think people in Denver would murder their front office if they did that. Second, Holliday makes $13.5 million in 2009 and is a free agent afterwards. Next. I'm going to address the bold. Why is it a bad trade? On the Rockies end. A All Star 2b under club control who can hit for power and a 2nd or 3rd Starter on that team, not to mention a big bat in Jakkkobs for a guy their trying to move because he's a FA and prospects. I'm going to act like I knew he made 13 mil and a free agent in 2010. *Whistles away*. You said you didn't even know who Dexter Fowler is. If you don't know who one of the main parts of a proposed trade is...just don't post it and then argue why it's not a ridiculously dumb trade? I think that should be a rule to be able to post on the board... I said 2 or 3 prospects- 1 great one and 2 average ones. I threw Fowler in there because his name is popping up alot and figured that would qualify as "Great".

Trading Cantu
Let's take this up a notch for argument's sake. Cantu is going to make over $4. Uggla around $4.5. Willingham $2. No f***ing way possible Cantu Makes 4 while Uggs only gets 500k more in salary. Try- Uggla 6, Cantu 3 and Willingham at 2-3. Ryan Howard got 10 Million his first Arbitration Eligible year when the team offered 7. Howard plays a Easier position to fill with power and didn't Even Make the 2007 All-Star game. Uggla plays a position that typically lacks power, was a 2008 all-star, and Howards already set precedent. Not to mention that Uggla's been consistent for 3 years whereas Cantu had a journeyman label dying to be attached to him until he hit big with the fish.

Uggla and Olsen to Colorado for Torrealba?
Seriously, what do you think of a Matt Holiday and a package of prospects for Dan Uggla, Mike Jacobs and a SP (Anibal, Olsen)? Here's my reasoning: Holiday is due a raise, in the 7 to 10 million Range. The Rockies might trade him to plug holes at other positions. Uggla is scheduled to earn 5 to 6, Jakkkobs is due 3 to 4 and Olsen is due 2-3 million. Clearing about 10-12 off the books. Holiday is a better LF defensively then Willingham and is what the marlins would lack missing in the middle of the order with Uggla and jakkobs gone. Uggla and Jakkkobs bring pop to Colorado. Uggla can play left like the author of the article said, or play 2b or 3b. Jakkkobs can sit til Helton retires (isn't he 36 to 38 y/o?) The prospects would be a great one and 2 average ones. I keep hearing Dexter Fowler, IDK who he is, but maybe--- Marlins Get: Matt Holiday Dexter Fowler SP Prospect in AA SP Prospect or OF Prospect in A ball. Rockies Get: Dan Uggla Mike Jacobs (Josh Willingham moves to 1B til Gaby Sanchez is ready or Cantu to 1st with Mcphearson at 3b). Scott Olsen (He's due a raise, although I prefer he stays and Anibal Goes)

need help....
Josh Phelps is on the Marlins? No, Josh Phelps is a puss- and i took this off topic. Sorry. Any word as to where the original poster heard Willy to the Pirates? MLBTraderumors.com brought up Willy to the Braves is possible with their hole in LF.

need help....
So any update? Where did you hear this rumor homeboy. I hope he doesn't go, but I got a feeling we can get something decent for him. He doesn't fit with our Defense first mentality, but his plate discipline does. I'm indifferent to a move involving Willingham. Josh Phelps though.... he's a puss. Trade him for a sack of baseballs.

In all seriousness - Lineup/Starters 2009.
I really think Anibal is the odd man out, and working his way back to the Rotation through the Bullpen is the best option for him. Sorry if i Sound like an idiot, but Smoltz did it, and came back great for a year or so. Wood went to Closer this year for CHI and he's been good there. We can use him more in the closers role then in the rotation. Jakkkobs, IDK- Speculation. And I believe Rhodes said he lieks whats going on here during an interview i saw, but usually when they refer to miami they mean the nightlife, not the team their on. Olsen should come back, and I hope so. A LHP who's young and only 2.5 mil from what I've heard is worth it. Even if you wind up trading him at the break for prospects/picks.

David Wright's voice
Wrights pretty cool. He plays well, doesn't show off and he lets his body of work do the talking. Reyes I can't really stand. And I'm a Mets fan (as well as a marlins fan). I can say, Wright is one of the best ambassadors of the game right now. Beltran is a great player too. Not too flashy. I like that in a player. It's wat draws us to Cantu, to Uggla, and to Ross. Reyes, Martinez and Tatis can blow me. Same with Willy Fagdolph.

Beinfest says improving defense priority
are there any gold glove caliber 2B with good contact who are free agents this year. I got a feeling the fish might splurge a little in FA to make up for what they can't trade for.

Albert Pujols home run ticket collector
Best bet, call the team itself---maybe they have some saved up or something.
