September 15, 201114 yr I'm on LoMo's side all the way. If he didnt post on Twitter he would just be another player, but the interaction with fans makes him stand out as a genuine guy. While it would never be admitted by the team, we all know Twitter played some part in his demotion, and that coupled with the meet-and-greet fiasco should not be reasons for demoting him. So fair play to him for filing a grievance. There's more to it than Twitter. There was an altercation between Logan and Hanley that involved Helms. At least, that's what I remember. All I know is, he was playing terribly and was a nuisance. He deserved his demotion.
September 15, 201114 yr What an ignorant move for a rookie. Guys in his position should be happy they get to play in the Major Leagues at all. He's barely had a Vente cup of coffee so far. This will not endear him to our FO or that of the other MLB FOs.
September 15, 201114 yr He also canceled a fundraising event for charity on his own because he wasnt happy with presales and insulted the organization plannijg it. Hes a dbag. I really dont give a sh*t if he stays a marlin. You are saying he's a douchebag because the event was cancelled due to the fact that the Marlins did not actively advertise and market as much as they could have, an opportunity for casual fans to support a fantasic cause and go bowling with a major league player?
September 15, 201114 yr What a complete asshat. I loved Morrison's persona at the beginning of the season but he has turned out to be a bigger spoiled brat than Hanley used to be. You got demoted for barely a week and you're filing a grievance? I have to believe they are going to seriously consider trading him this offseason despite what some people believe his ceiling to be. I'd love to see them swing some sort of trade to get James Shields (who is always rumored to be on the trading block here in Tampa) and the Rays need a bat. I could see it happening.
September 15, 201114 yr HE CANCELED THE EVENT HIMSELF BY REFUSING TO GO. It was a bowl with lomo event. There were sales. I know this because my company purchased a lane and I know a couple others who did as well. He canceled because he wasnt happy with that. He took money away from a charity because his rookie ego has exploded. It wasnt some bs meet and greet. He took money away from charity. Dbag move. I simply refuse to believe that LoMo would not provide to the American Lung Association, given how much lung cancer has impacted his life through his late father.

September 15, 201114 yr I LOVE how all of you are hating on lomo, hes doing whats right for players, and standing up for whats right against the marlins front office , something no other player has ever done. He knows any other team will be happy to have him and will be a starter no matter what, the marlins front office has to change and their eventually gonna learn.
September 15, 201114 yr I still support LoMo, too bad they can't demote Loria, Samson, etc.... This organization has been embarrassment for the last few years, with Loria posturing that the team is good enough or expected to win, when they obviously don't have the players or financial backing to compete. This is the same organization that MLB had to tell to spend their revenue sharing money. Not to haggle about the Cameron situation, but I have a feeling if it was Hanley in the same situation, Loria would have fired the flight crew instead of taking Hanley to task. I will still the support the Marlins, they were my team long before Loria was owner and will be after he's gone.

September 15, 201114 yr I think some of you hate Loria and co. so much that you are blinded to the fact when they aren't in the wrong. LoMo needs to grow up and keep his ego in check. He's a friggin rookie.
September 15, 201114 yr Such a sense of entitlement. Hey Lomo, you haven't done sh*t. Grow up, shut up and play baseball.
September 16, 201114 yr Either CC or Lomo is gone. Could be both. Lomo is playing right now to get his value back up.

September 16, 201114 yr I don't get it. Lomo has every right to file the grievence and tweet stupid sh*t but the employer (which has a relationship to the public) has a right to expect a professional at the same time. This is professional baseball right? I think this is all moot. He's not a member of the miami marlins...

A comment on 790 the ticket was made in which it was mentioned that Miguel Cabrera had a similar altercation with the charter staff. A complaint was filed but nothing was done. They commented further that if Cameron was a piece expected to be here in 2012 and not one which was expected to be gone by year end, the incident would have been ignored. Sorry I can't remember who made the comment and to whom. I believe I heard it around 3:30 or so yesterday afternoon so I suspect we know who was talking. But I guess it could have been a guest.

There is no reason to believe that the club has a zero tolerance toward altercations with flight attendants. The fact that Cameron has absolutely no place in this club's future, has been struggling, and was only a few games away from the end of the season, probably made the Marlins' decision to release him very easy. In other words, not all of these incidents need to result in dismissal of the player. In Cameron's case, it was the most logical move.
