January 17, 201313 yr Minor league deal, he is also considering minor league offers from the Indians and Mets
January 17, 201313 yr What's the point? It seems no team has offered major league contract to Dice-K.
January 17, 201313 yr Seeing the Red Sox are my American League team and I am glad he's no longer with the team, I will pray to whatever God would keep Dice-Suck from playing for my favorite team!
January 17, 201313 yr I actually want this to happen. I want scream things at him in Japanese.Things like, "Why didn't Hinako call me back???!!!!"
January 17, 201313 yr I dunno what to think here but I guess we could probably do Wuertz. Is there any chance he bounces back strong?
January 17, 201313 yr I don't see how anyone can possibly be against this move. It's a minor league deal. If he blows who cares the team loses nothing. If he's serviceable, great. Win-Win for the team.
January 17, 201313 yr I dunno what to think here but I guess we could probably do Wuertz. I love this
January 17, 201313 yr I have no issues with this, chances are he's going to be much improved in the National lease, especially pitching at Marlins Park...
January 17, 201313 yr Give him a cheap Major League Deal and just cut him if he sucks. Your paying 15 million for Reyes bell and guillen to not work for you, why not add a bit more on top. Could he be a effective reliever?

Could he be a effective reliever? This seems like a fine idea. His velocity has been dropping since 2007, but I mean i'm sure he has 2 decent pitches? I wonder why he doesn't just go back to Japan and play there over taking a minor league deal here
January 17, 201313 yr if he signed with us and made the mlb team, he'd be the first japanese marlin right? I know we once had a korean....

January 18, 201313 yr I actually kind of agree with the Marlins' strategy of showing interest in these pitchers with past major league success. If they don't perform, oh well, expectations for this season are fairly low anyways. If we do get any semblance of production out of them, we can flip them for a prospect at the deadline.
