home runs #99 and 100.

Baseball Tonight just mentioned, only the 8th player to hit 100 homers before 24 years of age.

though in fairness, I didn't see a lot of emotion behind those home runs. Almost like he didn't care.

Stanton gon be our all star rep after missing nearly a month and sucking another month.

Heres my bold prediction: I dont think this team will be picking in the top 4 next year in the draft. When healthy this team isnt awful.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned it, first time the D-Backs have lost a Corben start all season.... Pretty strong. That was a really fun game to watch.

well if we are not going to get the ncst guy, how about mike papi with our first round pick next year?

It's a hot streak. The Astros are having one too lol.

Obviously, Stanton has taken my postings to heart and has mended his ways.

Consequently, I have decided that he can stay the entire year in Miami.

I'm kinda starting to hope the Marlins sign Stanton long-term rather than trade him for prospects. We no longer have that giant hole in 3B in the future, and our pitching in the minors has been very good. I don't think we could really get much net value by trading him any more.

Don't be a fool. Teams are still willing to trade the farm for Stanton. You can't teach potential.

The farm

Seriously, I'd rather have Giancarlo.

A 2015 line-up could look like this:

Yelich LF

Barnes C / 2B

Moran 3B

Stanton RF

Ozuna CF

Morrison 1B

Dietrich 2B / SS

Hechavarria SS / Brantly C

Pitchers

Marisnick is the odd man out here, unfortunately, unless Morrison gets traded for bullpen help and Stanton or Yelich [probably the latter] moves to first base. Yes, the line-up could be bunched up by lefties 6-8, I realize that ... but, 5 lefties in one line-up, you're bound to have a couple in a row!

I've flip flopped as well. The prospects of Texas aren't even close to as appetizing as they were at the beginning of the season (I'm glad they didn't consider trading him). Yelich and Stanton are both long term pieces of our outfield. Let Marisnick and Ozuna fight against one another to prove which one deserves to be the long term piece in the outfield.

The problem is a contract should've been offered to Stanton before the fire sale happened. At some point Stanton will become seriously expensive, and we all know what happens with this front office when players get expensive.

This team is better with Stanton on the team long term, streaky hitter notwithstanding. He's a franchise player, and he's not even 24 yet.
