August 1, 20168 yr Did the Padres know about this underlying issue before they traded to Marlins and didnt say anything?
August 1, 20168 yr Did the Padres know about this underlying issue before they traded to Marlins and didnt say anything? I think thats what is being implied.
August 1, 20168 yr @Ken_Rosenthal From @KenRosenthal Source: #Marlins getting Luis Castillo back, with Rea returning to #Padres.
August 1, 20168 yr Why are the marlins always in the middle of hilarious baseball blunders, goof, and gafs? Because this dumpster fire of a front office is the biggest joke in baseball.
August 1, 20168 yr I thought this was a joke thread lmao Sent from my iPhone using MarlinsBaseball.com mobile app
August 1, 20168 yr Joke about the Marlins but this one seems to be on the padres. If they are ok sending prospects back it has to mean they knew something in his medical records that they didn't disclose and would rather give prospects back than have mlb down their neck conducting an investigation.
August 1, 20168 yr Curious whether there was a clause in the contract that triggered this if Marlins were concerned about injury risk. Or whether Padres are doing this before MLB steps in if they knew he was damaged goods. Castillo is a major prospect. To get him back is big. Could be flipped again or could be in the rotation in the next couple of years.

When I first hear there was thought.....wait, won't the mlb get involved? Sounds like it could have been a threat. Do we have a doc on the forum who could tell us if looking at MRI if the damage shown could be like really recent or been there for a while? And in the long run I would think the Padres are no longer trading buddies. Actually is there something with Rodney trade they may knew?
August 1, 20168 yr Or they just improved their trade and only need to wait for Rea to recover from surgery. They wouldn't have traded him in the first place. I assumed in the first place it was naylor/capps for cashner, cosart for guerrero and rea for castillo when u broke down the trade. This looks like San Diego admitting fault and doing the low key trade back rather than dealing with a potential shit storm with the mlb.
August 1, 20168 yr Holy shit- this is so Marlins. Did I just find my new favorite player? Jk Sent from my iPhone using MarlinsBaseball.com mobile app
August 1, 20168 yr What a joke of a team. Should have asked for Capps back. Should've tried to null the whole deal because the pieces traded aren't fungible. Could've gotten a free start from Cashner
