Realmuto traded to Phillies

Featured Replies

This is the best I have felt about a trade in many years with our organization.  Take no crap anymore.  Done,  you want JT, then you give in otherwise, hey, we can wait and take a lesser haul at any time or a better offer later when someone really needs to make a move.  Many teams get a good return for a quality 3 month rental so why should we worry.   Squeeze them boys.  Barry Jackson just reported we have only one player in MLB top 100 prospects and that is Victor x 2 Mesa and he was not even from a trade.  So it is time to get some top prospect(s).

Why do people say we didn't get any top 100 prospects from our trades a year ago? We got 3... Brinson Harrison and Alcantara. 2 have since graduated from the prospect rankings and yes Harrison has fallen off but the trades did bring back Top 100 level prospects when they happened. People love making their own stupid narratives.

Yes, even Diaz was a former top 100 prospect at ine point before we traded for him.  Too soon to judge the trades.

In addition to getting Brinson and Alcantara, the Marlins sold the trades as restocking the farm system and “layering” stud players throughout.  It is pathetic that none of the other heralded pieces from the trades are in the top 100.  It also doesn’t help the narrative that Bronson sucked last year.

But he was awesome in Death Wish!

Marlins should have never traded Yelich, tbh.

They should have kept Ozuna too, but at least we didnt give up much of anything to acquire him.  Hope he has a big contract year in 2019!

Ozuna and Stanton, I understood.  But I'd have kept Yelich and Realmuto to build around, though I understand the rationale behind the "trading for depth" approach they took.  That said, it seemed like they were desperate to trade him and took whatever they were offered rather than waiting it out like they are with Realmuto.

Considering it was a prediction and not a guarantee, I don't see why I should worry. I'm either right or I'm wrong. Not like I am going to be punished for it!

That being said, I still say it happens by the end of today.

If it doesn't happen today I might stop talking to you for a few hours so yeah there IS a punishment.

Maybe he thinks it's a reward…

If JT isn't traded by midnight tonight, you will be suspended indefinitely*
