Nothing but keeping her until she dies will avoid media backlash for the Marlins. And even then, the headlines would be "MARLINS WORK KIM NG TO DEATH" just because they can. I don’t know if that would be the headline. I think it would be more about how we put a woman near a hot stove and she died.
August 20, 20224 yr the last time the Marlins scored over 4 runs in a game was 21 games ago lolololol it was against Cincy

I keep seeing you post what I guess are jabs, but I don't see anyone defending her to the degree you're insinuating at this point There's one poster in particular that defends her more than anyone else has by quite a bit although I think he's come around on the fact she's doing an awful job now too as he doesn't quite defend her like he used to anymore. I also think SoJ is also just stating this in general as there is almost nary a sportswriter that is willing to say she's doing a shit job - likely because they'd be under some scrutiny immediately due to bad optics (whether it's accurate or not). I see what you're saying too dude, but man, I can't stop posting bad shit on this board even if it's the same thing over and over because it's the only thing that alleviates, if only temporarily, some of the immense disdain and anger I have towards this entire organization from the top down currently.

August 20, 20224 yr I think Ng is doing a phenomenal job and gives really good interviews, but should nonetheless be fired because she’s a woman.

The best I've seen are just mild disappointment or people hopeful that words came out wrong For the record, I'm in the mild disappointment group. Not ready to crucify her but her comments lately give me little hope that next off-season will be any good. Edited August 21, 20224 yr by Entendu

So her “Don is teaching them how to win” doesn’t make sense. im also very concerned she just extends him.
August 21, 20224 yr Anything less than a complete overhaul of the coaching staff (except Mel), and an inward/self Re-evaluation and change of how decisions are made by Ng, would be a complete disappointment.
August 21, 20224 yr A 100 years franchise went through some good regimes and some bad regimes, we a 30 years franchise also went through good and bad regimes ( bad luck with much more bad ones), so we would have a good regime one day.

August 24, 20224 yr MLB.com with this little write up on the Orioles being determined to add to this surprising team, no intention of going backwards, and understanding that they'll have to spend and really add to the team to keep competing in their division... I read this and it obviously reminded me of the Marlins who had a surge in 2020 and were still within that range after 2021 yet decided to show no urgency in the last two offseasons. When the competitive window opens you can't waste time! Quote The Orioles have taken a big step forward in 2022, playing better baseball than nearly anybody expected. Baltimore sits in the heart of the AL Wild Card race despite its small payroll, and while the youngsters have infused vigor into the organization, the front office knows that it will have to dip its toes in the market if the team wants to compete annually. In fact, general manager Mike Elias has even said publicly he expects the O’s to be major players in free agency. “We're going to sign players this winter. I'm very excited about it,” Elias said after the Trade Deadline. “I think that it's liftoff from here for this team.”
