May 31, 20233 yr We've all been saying it. Sandy needs to be pulled at the first sign of trouble for now. I didn't have a problem with Skip bringing him out for the 7th. But that hook should've been immediate after the first walk. He has not proven the ability to get past the later in-game struggles this year, and doesn't deserve the leash. Totally - a hit by Segura or Arraez with bases loaded instead of a pop out and DP gives us a few extra runs and changes the whole trajectory of the game.

There were multiple chances to win that game after Sandy left it last night. I'm frustrated with Sandy but I'm also frustrated with the feeling that Sandy's starts are an automatic loss if he isn't lights out. That's on his teammates.

I would legitimately take Sandy Leon back right now and make him the starting catcher for everyone with Fortes getting every 4th to 6th game.

You would regret that move after 4-6 games. 😂 What’s the deal with Marlins not able to get a good catcher since JT Realmuto? It reminds me of when Dan Marino retired, the Dolphins went for like 20 years of many many quarterbacks even some good veterans and draft picks, most were terrible and some decent but no one could ever live up or come close to being near as good as Marino. Now with Tua they MIGHT finally have their QB to take Marino’s place, but even that is huge question mark with his health issues and even people wondering if he’s good enough, so that’s not even for sure. Of course it’s a different situation completely but it feels like it sometimes with Marlins.
