August 3, 20233 yr Two upgrades at the corners. Cooper was useless in the sense he is 33 and at the end of his contract. The fact we got anything for him by throwing in Sean Reynolds (good luck to him, love his story) is amazing. Segura was a bad signing and a total black hole. Hopefully they get Burger's contact rate up but the fact they cut bait on a terrible signing spreaks volumes. Getting rid of Kahlil Watson is addition by subtraction as well. He was a bad pick with poor work ethic and bad attitude. Hopefully we learn from this as well. The offseason begs the question will we look for a SS or C to upgrade those posiitions.

August 3, 20233 yr But friends, isn't it awesome that we have hope even going into next season. This team is good enough that even if they don't make any moves in the offseason, we can remain competitive. I expect the starters to be better next year. Don't get me wrong, we need to improve to confidently have a shot at the playoffs next year, but it is going to be exciting baseball even with this core.
