Sure you trade from areas of strength to address areas of weakness.  The problem is, you can't keep having to pull from the same well so much - eventually you'll deplete your strength too.

If Bruce wants to improve areas of the team was willing to let Kim walk as a result, I think he's serious here. This will really be his first choices here.

Another interesting thing I've noticed....there really has been very little negative press compared to what I thought we'd see.

Nah I'm not upset. Never really was.

While I thought she was decent at her job, it's not like she was Theo Epstein. She probably wasn't even as good as Larry Beinfest. She was just okay.

I definitely think we can upgrade.

I don't like how she left but it sounds like Bruce is still pushing to make us a better organization and I can't hate that.

The fact that the Diamondbacks, who finished with a lower seed than the Marlins, are in the World Series demonstrates precisely what I was saying after the season ended: this team isn't that far off. At all. Anything can happen in the playoffs. Just get there.
