The results don't matter to him. What matters is when a team spends big on everyone possible or else it's UNACCEPTABLE.

and it was largely a stupid signing, meanwhile he pretty much ignored the actual roster construction, forcing his new GM to trade assets to reacquire Justin Verlander cause said dumbass owner was channeling his inner Jeff Loria.
