Honestly, if it's cheap and multi year- I'm for it- but I don't like it. He was an ass before all this stuff happened. I thought this might humble him a bit, but he's still defiant. Remember when he said he'd never sign a multi year deal and he's better off going year to year.

FWIW, he played in the NPB last year....

Bauer had a successful age-32 campaign in NPB. He posted a 2.76 ERA through 130 2/3 innings while striking out 24.3% of opposing hitters.

Not gonna get too far into that whole thing but if you tell a girl you’re into fucking them up and they agree cause they hope to have some financial gain there is no guilt or innocence, that’s just a good old fashioned agreement between two adults. Stupid games, win stupid prizes! Though these days that shit seems to not matter anymore cause accountability is no longer something people value as a personal trait. 🤷🏻‍♂️

All this morality bullshit is just that.  He got fucked royally by this woman and really by MLB.  I hope he sues MLB, the Los Angeles Dodgers and anyone else who black listed him and he wins a shit ton of money from them.

 

I also think on a 1-2 year deal, Trever Bauer is the kind of pitcher you go out and sign, fuck it, go up to 22 AAV to sign him and I see no issue from a baseball perspective.

How is the corner outfield next year? For sure Jazz will be in center, but left field will be DLC again? Sanchez in right? Avi in one those spots? Do you think they plan to sign a new player? Personally I think DLC and Sanchez both have potential, I wouldn't mind if they return as starters. DLC could be so much better is he stopped the overswinging on the 1st 2 strikes. If he hit like he did with 2 strikes the whole at bat, he will still connect on balls in the zone with power, I dont remember the exact numbers but I remember many homeruns he hit with 2 strikes not even swinging hard. Too often I feel he ruined at bats overswinging at pitches early in the count either swinging and missing or fouling off pitches right over the middle. I dont think theres any player on the team (maybe even leauge) this year that left so many meatballs over the middle fouled off as DLC, and also he missed a lot of RBI chances because of that. And then forced to swing at shit with 2 strikes. Sanchez I feel similar, he often overswing trying to mash 450 foot homers. But also showed he can take base hits the other way. I feel both of them have lots of potential working with Brant Brown, they made lots of improvements this past year with him. I think another year for them is a good idea. I think just cut down on the overswinging and DLC could be a .300 hitter with some power, Sanchez I feel similar, but more power.

I would pass and just go with Banfield if we're going to go strictly defense.  Maldonado showed some decline defensively last season and he's going to be 37 years old. Also, Banfield has plenty off power so he can at least provide some pop to the back of the lineup.

Isn't he still getting paid by the Dodgers?  In that case, wouldn't he only be able to sign for the minimum? Not sure how that works.
