Ticket Prices
I'm guessing (errr...hoping) that the Marlins will lower ticket prices even if it is just a little bit. I don't see how anyone besides the employees is going to show up to the stadium with the same prices as last year.

JP Rumors with Seattle
I'm really going to have trouble digesting a Pierre trade. Him along with Lowell are just great players and they bring so many wonderful memories.

An idea to save the Marlins
I have an idea that is a compromise. Since it's a compromise it's, by definition, not the best solution for each of the parties involved but it solves everyone's problems. Here's the idea: The Orange Bowl gets destroyed and a new dual purpose dome is built in its place. It's a fixed dome that is designed to be comfortable for both sports. It can be done. The dual use stadiums of the past were ugly and uniform but sightlines were not an issue. One could be designed one that is more aesthetically pleasing than previous ones. A fixed dome would cost much less than a retractable one. The stadium could be designed with glass walls below the dome to allow natural light to enter during the daytime and have less of a feeling of being enclosed. It would be climate controlled perfect weather for every game. The turf would have to be artificial, but they have made big advancements in turf and it's a much better than it used to be. Also converting from baseball to football would be much easier and the football team wouldn't have to worry about playing in dirt. Between the Marlins and the Hurricanes there will be 87 guaranteed dates per year. The MIAMI Marlins stay in town, Hurricanes fans and alumni are happy. Ok let the dissecting and complaints begin... Some people just don't get it.

500 Home Runs or 300 Wins???
500 is more likely than 300 wins. However, 300 wins would be wonderful to see.

Tommy Hutton comments on the Beckett trade
T-Hut makes a great point. What the hell are you (ownership) going to tell Girardi, and the rest of the players in this team?

What can be done
If the Marlins leave over 300 people are going to lose 81 games of work.

There is hope...
I just hope some company steps up and becomes our savior.

Red Sox offer Hanley Ramirez and prospects
So far, I'm liking the Dodgers rumors better. We have in Andino whatever Ramirez can bring us, and he is not ready for the major leagues yet. Joel Guzman is a stud, and if we could pry him off the Dodgers, and at the expense of Lowell and Beckett, it would be great for us.

Dodgers Interest In Beckett
Guzman would be our solution at shortstop.
