  1. I think it is a very long shot......Albert turning down St Louis is going to be hard, in our favor we have warm beaches, short flight to Dominican Republic, Latin atmosphere.....we shall see who wins at the end
  2. it could be worse...at least pitbull is at the top of charts
  3. The House that Hanley built...NOT!
  4. We keep playing to lose
  5. I'm so pissed WTF is wrong with this team
  6. volstad pissXXX off
  7. I hope is Jack, can't wait to see him going to the mound and ripping off pitchers when they won't throw strikes.
  8. Hanley now under the Mendoza line...Can't get a hit to save his life
  9. As soon as Hanley said he was bringing his A game/and focus this year, a red flag went up in my head. I hate to say it, but Hanley lacks motivation and desire to win...Hanley prove me wrong!
  10. Edwin's managing the last two games has been masterful, I don't understand how anyone could find fault with his moves. His substitution of Cousins for Stanton for defense probably won us the Braves game, as Stanton would not have caught up to Freeman's fly ball (I know he does this in all close and late games, but it's a good move and I haven't seen anyone praise him for it). He also didn't leave Nolasco and Vazquez in longer than necessary when it was clear they didn't have their best stuff. And today, a subtle move, in the sixth when faced with a pinch-hitting situation, he knew not to waste Dobbs in case a more critical at-bat presented itself later in the game which, sure enough, is exactly what happened. Edwin gets five stars for his managing the last two games. +1 I'm liking Edwin's managing more and more every day, I don't miss Fredi/Girardi at all.
  11. Other = Coaching
  12. Game was over before the 4th inning...oh well
  13. Talk is cheap, I hope he comes with the right attitude
  14. Not sure what's up with Wade...Looks more mental than physical
  15. No excuse for Memphis getting so many offensive rebounds. Paint defense is our Achilles heel
  16. I turned the FSN channel today and I'm not happy about this. There is no excuse for not working out a contract in advance. I'm glad I'm not under any contracts/commitments with Dish...if this doesn't get resolved within days..I'm dropping their service
  17. I voted Sanabia...but he was really lucky out there..a lot of hard hitted balls, either at the wall or warning track
  18. I just hate the way he got injured..really really stupid
  19. Since officially being named manager for the remainder of the season (until then he was in limbo with an expectation Valentine or someone else would be charting the team's course) on June 29th in Puerto Rico, E-Rod has the team 10-8, which considering everything going on is certainly better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. He remains the FO's "guy" but at least for 2010 that may not be a bad thing as we understand that's why he's there. His success is as much a referendum on him as the front office because there can be no complaints from that quarter the manager wasn't following their express instructions. Quietly, in his own way, I think he's doing an excellent job and I suspect his stature is growing throughout baseball because of it. I believe it's Eddie who calls him the "Anti-Fredi", for myself I've quickly forgotten why Gonzalez was here in the first place. To me Fredi was the latin Jeff Torborg, full of lame excuses and being too protective of players and their miscues, while E-Rod seems refreshingly unafraid to call out the team when they deserve to be for things that have been hampering success here for far too long. Fredi has no one to blame but himself and his rightful benching of Ramirez was, I'm afraid, just too little, too late. good summary....I'm also pleasantly surprise with the job that Edwin is doing.
  20. I think people understand that Cabrera had to be traded; they are upset with the package they got in return and feel the Marlins could have done better. exactly...I also believe Miguel trade value was diminished due to his attitude issues.
  21. what a nice win...1 game below .500
  22. I hope Coghlan's fire translates on the field in PR. I also hope it's contagious. and Chris C hasn't done enough? he is on fire
  23. I think Tommy Hutton was wrong with the 75% to 80% roof closed estimates. If they expect this, a retractable roof doesn't make sense I expect the roof to be open more than 50% of the time...most night, the games are good
  24. Tank, you f***ing suck some times I miss Jack McKeon...He would have gone to the mound and scream at tank in that situation
