It's another to change your identity. He has to be facing serious visa issues.

Rabbethan
http://hosted.ap.org...N_MARLINS_NUNEZ Here's the AP source: AP Sources: Marlins' Nunez faces ID issue By STEVEN WINE AP Sports Writer MIAMI (AP) -- Two people familiar with the immigration status of Florida Marlins closer Leo Nunez say the pitcher has been playing under an assumed name, and the issue has prompted him to return to his native Dominican Republic. The people, who said the Marlins have been aware of the issue for several months, spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Thursday because Dominican and team officials haven't made any public comment on the case. One of the people said Nunez's real name is Juan Carlos Oviedo and he's 29, a year older than listed in the Marlins' media guide. The Marlins placed Nunez on Major League Baseball's restricted list, and he isn't expected to pitch in the final week of the season.

Dr Beinfest
And in the event that he gets out of it? Does that mean we have Juan Carlos Oviedo pitching on the mound for us next season? Or does he get his name legally changed? Decisions, decisions.
fanofthefish
This happened with Marlins before with Carlos Martinez, he had another name when he signed, so obviously this problem can be solved. Leo we hardly knew you
Erick
Didn't the same thing happen to Jairo Garcia (now known as Santiago Casilla)? He's in the big leagues right now.
