August 7, 201511 yr Please select a poll answer and optionally also reply with the reason(s) you would. The vote is most important, so please everyone VOTE. I am doing research on this topic. THANKS!
August 7, 201511 yr Author Is someone from the marketing department really asking you to do this? If the Marlins are looking to draw in more fans, they shouldn't be worried about the stupid fences. They need to foremost field a team that isn't a total joke and then perhaps lower ticket prices. Or have a Fish Tank section with cheap seats.
August 7, 201511 yr No. Making it easier for us will also make it easier for the opposition so are we really making it any easier for us? In general I'm a proponent of working with the hand ur dealt. Teams should play to their ballpark. Ballparks should not be altered to the teams. If anything this topic should be revisited 10-15 years from now. Four seasons is such a small sample size, it's way too soon to decide this.

August 7, 201511 yr Only center field. Leave the corners and left and right center the same. Its a little crazy now because its not fair to the game to have someone hit a ball 415 to center field and it's not a home run. You just can't expect much more from a human being.
August 7, 201511 yr This vote will actually decide whether or not fences move in, because Admin is part of the FO. So vote no. Fuck that shit. This ain't the Mets.
August 7, 201511 yr Nah dawg. We already have pitchers who can't get guys out, imagine if we made hitting even easier.
August 7, 201511 yr Not really the reason for my vote but on a side note I hate how the outfield wall looks when the fences are brought in. It's like there's a double wall, like a gap between the new wall and the old wall. I notice it at citi field all the time and it drives me nuts.
August 7, 201511 yr No. Use the money to sign the competitive balance draft picks.. oh wait, nevermind.
August 7, 201511 yr i find it funny that the yes's are leading but all the people commenting are mostly no's.....for the record i vote no as well. we already can't hit worth shit...moving the fences in only gives more offense to the other team, field a team that just hits it where they ain't. stanton can clear the wall just fine anyway = )

August 7, 201511 yr I voted no. my philosophy in establishing a team, a contending team, is through pitching. so with that, moving the fences in only hurts our pitchers.
August 7, 201511 yr Keep the walls the same distance but change that stupid bright green color on the padding. I'd change my vote to yes only if it's center field that is brought in just a little bit and the bright green goes as well.
August 7, 201511 yr Author I'd love to get at least 100 votes on this, please vote if you haven't yet. Thanks everyone.

August 8, 201511 yr A year ago, I would've said yes. But I don't have enough faith in anyone not named Jose Fernandez on our pitching staff to keep the ball in the yard away or home.
August 8, 201511 yr no we have the edge because of Stanton fences aren't the problem. Owner who gets involved in baseball decisions and sweats payroll and a Front Office that uses stats from the 1970's is our problem
