Marlins Offseason Hot Stove Special!

Remember that word pursue!? Usually leads to signings once it turns serious. Granted they are probably just offering a 2-3 year deal. If Ozuna can't even bring back Chi Chi I rather just hold onto him.

They offered him multiple deals. One is longer than that

They actually offered more years than Rosenthal reported but about time the national media knew. I told a few select people here the other day about this. You need to become my BFF for the best scoops.

Say what!?

BFF FOREVER RIGHT HERE.

Figured you knew something, you went on a upvote frenzy the other day whenever I mentioned him lol.

Admin's inner circle costs $99.95 a year.  Sign up for two years and you get some free grainy photos of Alison Brie that appear to have been taken from inside a closet while she sleeps.

Well Admin, what's their plan for Ozuna if Cespedes were to come here?

Keep him... trade him for the high return... accept a lower trade return? What gives?

If Yoenis signed, they'd do everything they can to deal Ozuna.

This one might be tough to swallow, but hear me out:

Yelich definitely gets a #2 you can slide in between Jose & Chen. And you go into the season with Ozuna, Stanton & Cespedes as your outfield. Now you can compete

Trade Stanton. Sign cespedes. Sign wolf. Done deal.

I doubt they sign Cespedes, but if they do by some miracle, I would rather move Yelich to 1st and trade Bour for whatever arm we could get.  Bour has some value as he still has 5 controllable years left and mashes right handed pitching.  Maybe we can get a high ceiling injury reclamation arm like a Parker from Oakland or someone along those lines.  Even for a solid #4 it would be worth it as none of our young mediocre arms have proven themselves yet.

Bour doesn't get nearly enough to compete. Yeli

NL East is there for the taking. Not insistent on trading Yelich but he's the only trade able asset that makes us better if we sign Cespedes.

I try often, succeed rarely.

Hahahahaha :-)

The way I see it is move Yelich to 1st and have Bour as big bat of the bench. Don't trade anyone depth is always good. Our SP is good not great but if we are in it for real we make a move a the trade dead line not now.

I'm not a big fan of paying a bunch for Cespedes when we don't really need him.

What we still need is pitching. Add another starter (not sure who now, as the market is rapidly thinning out), but we really need another addition.
