I may disagree with a huge chunk of his decisions but I 100% disagree he's trying to sabotage the team. I have a hard time believing most guys in and around sports for an extended period of time, in particular former players who played at a very high level, would feel ok with tanking on purpose. I still think their competitive spirit would win out almost every time. Players also tend to love Don so I can't see them backing some guy who doesn't have their best interests at heart. So again, I don't agree with a lot of his decisions this year but I don't believe he's trying to make the team into the pile of shit it has been. I blame the FO more than anything for this season.

As crazy as this sounds, it probably has more truth than not at this stage of the game and there’s probably a resentment factor in Don’s case, but he knew their plan and signed the terms. Right or wrong he needs to coach the team like a boss regardless if it gets him fired. That’s what great managers do. If you can’t deal with the hands on approach from the FO, then don’t coach for the Marlins. I’m sure trader Jack would agree. It’s still a job of a lifetime. Btw, the hexagonal conspiracy angle is kind of shunned on here so I applaud your post. Again I’m not defending Ng.
June 26, 20215 yr I don't think it's a coincidence that the team did better last year with Mattingly and the DH. Also, the losing means not only do we have to put up with losing, but also have to listen to Holly while losing.

It’s more about if he gets to become a free agent, other teams will be offering him money too and we won’t win the bid. The trade for a prospect and then sign him in the offseason only works for teams like the Yankees.
