Hot Stove (2021-2022 offseason)

I believe Sherman and Ng still be the normal human beings so they should be very anxious now that every other team make moves and they don't.

It's tragic that I have no motivation to show my son the game of baseball. He can't root for the hometown team and be a fucking loser.

What's the point of giving this team any sort of patronage? The games won't even be good.

If Ng wants to preserve her standing in the eyes of most around baseball, she will probably want to quit Sherman before people mistake his incompetence for hers.

Fuck that awkward-shaped fat New York bagel-looking ass motherfucker and his stupid accent. Sell the team, you piece of shit.

And get the fuck out of here with the "I want to build a sustainable winner" line. Either you've got a helmet under than stupid baseball cap you wear and are a full-fledged-bumping-into-walls retard, or a liar. Regardless, you have as much business owning a baseball team as I do flying a fighter jet over the fucking Ukraine.

Even the Correa dream is gone, it's really a shame if they really don't doing anything, every team make moves.

They couldn’t muster $105M over 3 years for the most talented free agent of the offseason? Sad and pathetic. I’ve got nothing, y’all.

Ownership is extremely cheap. It is clear the directive was to see if any coveted players were willing to take below market contracts. People laughed at Kim for her comments on getting bullpen help last but that often happens. You can get cheap bullpen help at the end of free agency.

so the goal was always to be cheap.

having said that there is something most of you are forgetting. We are not that close. There are too many ifs on this team:

anderson and cooper and sixto (health)

maybe Sanchez can break through or maybe jazz can cut down on strikeouts or maybe…

A cheap ownership group will never spend big with these maybes….they want to wait to last minute and feel we aren’t there yet

I'd say it's unlikely we get much done this off-season without gutting the farm. At least we upgraded our catcher. Right?

Never thought I'd say this, but I wonder why they let Brinson go if they weren't planning on getting any batting depth.

Lol. Twins and Rockies.

Still remember we all have high expectations when the lockout ended ……just can't bear to see those “super optimistic ” tweets from Mish one week ago, that would made me sad.

"Ideally, we want a center fielder who is an offensive threat. That would be our primary objective. If that's not attainable, and you're not going to mortgage the future for one, then I think you have to go to Plan B." - Kim Ng (GM, most recent Marlins PR stunt)

It's always weird to recollect the feelings of hope and optimism that this team squandered at the start or end of a season. You'd think it be cathartic...instead it has major being dumped on prom night feels...

...And having Kim Ng be the messenger like a kindergarten teacher trying to explain what happened to the class hamster

All in all...really love that we sign Astudillo right before the Twins sign Correa.

Plan B is always actually Plan A with this team.

I'm prepared to Plan B this team.

I know money is tight and everything (*cough*) but aren't those Jansen, Correa and Castellanos deals all the kind of contracts this team should be capable of? We're not talking about 300 mil contracts here.

The "We tried" bullshit shouldn't work on anyone this time around.

WE blame Sherman. I don't let Ng off any hook. . "It's just something that is fluid, and I can tell you the staff and I have our ear to the ground and a good pulse on what's happening." ear to the ground-more like head in the sand. Word salad is her defining trait.

Since the resumption of baseball post lockout

Braves - a lot better

Phillies - a lot better

Mets - were a lot better to start with

Marlins - nothing

So there is that!

Cardinals - garbage

What he said was accurate.

What I said was also accurate.

Thanks to Das and his dumbass front office, we have Sandy Alcantara and Jazz Chisholm so at least there’s that.

You know it’s bad when Joe Frisaro is getting impatient with the front office.
