December 1, 20213 yr I'm honestly surprised Brinson was the first to go over Isan, especially with the hole in CF, but I guess they're confident enough in de la Cruz to let him go finally.

December 1, 20213 yr Keep in mind, this was a DFA to make room for Wendle. It is not a non-tender. It is still possible that both Isan and Alfaro get non-tendered after this.
December 1, 20213 yr How is it him first versus Isan lol. seems like great dude and hope he figures it out somewhere will always remember brinsanity
December 1, 20213 yr Back to Yelich deal : MIL get Yelich MIA get Yamamoto, Isan, Monte and Brinson. 😭 and no one was above zero in baseball reference accumulated WAR since the deal. Edited December 1, 20213 yr by Bret Hart

At least that is what should happen...
December 1, 20213 yr Yea DFA means he can potentially stick around, non tender means they'll become free agents. That could be the reason.

December 1, 20213 yr I would have to think that his best choice to pick would be minors, right? If he's gone for sure I can't say I would feel "happy" ... more so relieved that the team has more room for better talent. Unfortunate he wasn't able to get it going for his hometown team. Now, as far as Isan Diaz..... I would be ecstatic once he's gone. Seems like a bad dream that I was excited for him when he was first called up.

December 1, 20213 yr What would this say of the Marlins hitting coaches if Isan somehow learns how to hit .230 after instruction with these people?

December 1, 20213 yr I've always rooted for Brinson for multiple reasons, but from a performance perspective I totally get this.
