He picked the short straw and got DFA'd before Alfaro and Isan get non-tendered at 8 pm. At least that is what should happen...

Yea DFA means he can potentially stick around, non tender means they'll become free agents. That could be the reason.

Yes, those would be his choices.

I would have to think that his best choice to pick would be minors, right? 

If he's gone for sure I can't say I would feel "happy" ... more so relieved that the team has more room for better talent. Unfortunate he wasn't able to get it going for his hometown team.

Now, as far as Isan Diaz..... I would be ecstatic once he's gone. Seems like a bad dream that I was excited for him when he was first called up.

Uhhh, I do this drill daily with my ten year old. If NOW is when they’ve decided they should work on keeping his bat in the zone longer then idk what to tell you. 

What would this say of the Marlins hitting coaches if Isan somehow learns how to hit .230 after instruction with these people?

I've always rooted for Brinson for multiple reasons, but from a performance perspective I totally get this.
