The Marlins version looks better than that IMO.

I mean they do play in Little Havana.... Seems to be fairly seamless and makes a lot of sense. What did you expect? Miami Vice? I'm sure all of these are going to take some subset of a city's culture/heritage/makeup and utilize that aspect for the uniforms.

It's ultimately trivial stuff but it's weird how someone sees that image and doesn't know the truth and then with the way social media is that false info gets spread around and everyone starts thinking that the Dodgers don't know how to spell Duvall. Social media has made ignorance so spreadable.

Makes me think we could have even been in first place today if we had shown some urgency with recent roster decisions. The division is within reach, admittedly understanding that it's still just May, but they've been pretty content with half assing the roster this month.

The gist of the article is as follows: Jazz is on the verge of returning to the club. Alfaro had a setback so they are going to slow down his return. Elieser is about to start a rehab stint. They want to work him up to 75 pitches before his return, so keep track of his pitch counts. Marte is doing soft toss hitting and should start full batting practice by next week. Presumably he will do a rehab stint after that. Sixto is about to start a long toss program. They are going to go slow with him. Probably mid to late June I would assume on a return. Eddy Cabrera has been throwing 30 pitch bullpen sessions. He will report to AAA when he is ready to go. Jorge Guzman has been throwing at 105 feet on flat ground. No timetable given for him. Brinson won't be getting any hitting opportunities for the time being. Just defense and pinch running spots like last night.

Pi, not pie. Anyone else do any of the zillion and one projects out there with a Raspberry Pi? Some of them are pretty nifty and low cost overall. Built a tidy little NAS to house files and whatnot and provide remote access to friends if they wanted to share a large video file, etc. Even better, if any of you are interested, is the Pi Hole - it blocks ads on your PC (unlike ad-blocking software which only block the ads from displaying but still allow them to suck your bandwidth). The Pi Hole also only uses the Pi Zero and you can knock the entire project out for less than $50. It removes all advertising on this site = ) Just curious if there are any other Pi fans on here who have done some of the more exotic projects available.

I kinda like the pinstripes, but I respect your opinion. I think at the very least they are certainly outside the box. To me It’s not some cookie cutter jersey, it’s something unique. Silver Bullet made great points though that the Marlins could have designed it in a way where it paid more tribute to the Sugar Kings.

After taking some time, I don’t hate it but don’t love it. Like that it is semi still our own colors and not like Boston’s. Not necessarily a fan of the pinstripes.

I don't know if anyone really wants an explanation for that but it's not the Dodgers blatantly misspelling his name. That's a closed captioning for the hearing impaired, like subtitles, often those things have incorrect spellings because they are done electronically based on the phonetic sounds, basically it's done by a computer who hears the sound of the "Duvall" and spells it the way it thinks it should be spelled. It's not done by a human being who incorrectly typed his name there.
