Record against teams above .500?
Marlins Record Against Teams Above .500 = (26-22) {Mets, Brewers, Dodgers, Dbacks, Phils, Rays, and Cubs} Marlins Record Against Teams Below .500 = (34-31) {Pirates, Nationals, Astros, Braves, Padres, Reds, Royals, Giants, Mariners, A's, and Rockies} no difference, except i wouldn't include the Nats in that just for the simple fact that we have won almost every game against them, i see it as we are not doing as good against bad teams as we should, i am happy about our record against teams above .500, but eliminate the DBacks and Phils and again we are under .500 Exactly. We're 10-2 against the Nats. They skew the number dramatically. We need to start uping our game against sub500 teams fast. No more of this bulls***.

Post game thread 6/20
Thats when u make ur defensive substitutions, late in the game. Even though theres a DH, Gonzos defense is much more of a liability than what his offense will put out.

Pitchers who are free agents after this season
It sure would be nice to get that Rodriguez kid as a closer, but he's not going anywhere. wow...and you guys complain about Gregg? KRod basically does the same thing...except people actually think KRod is dominant. His stats the past year and a half definitely don't suggest it, though. For that, I'd rather have Gregg, and gain on an actual weakness. Or trade Gregg, and build a closer from within (and we have many options there, with all the hard throwers in the pen). Right now I wouldnt want to trade anyone away IMO.

Pitching Coach Update
I think Mazzone's best chance of being the coach he was in Atlanta would be Florida. The pitching staff is stacked after pitchers like JJ, Nolasco, Sanchez comeback from injury and rehab and the prospects mature. Baltimore was like commiting suicide.

#1 Draft Pick Race Division
Either injury prone, head cases, or just flat out suck.

Attendance Improving Idea
Another method for the Marlins to lose more money. No concession money.

Miami Herald: OB is a lousy site for baseball
My Solution: Build an exit ramp from I-95 to the OB. Lol

My vision: The Ballpark at the Orange Bowl
I know very little about South Florida mass transit, but from my experiences in other cities a shuttle bus system just to get to a metro line is highly impractical. And this looks to be a car traffic nightmare. If it works for UM games, it'll work for the Marlins. No it won't. Not for eighty one games of baseball. Football (especially for a Florida school) is more of a marquee event that typically attracts a more dedicated adult audience (I'm speaking for all baseball teams) and is more willing to put up with mass transit hell. This is due to the nature of the sport itself and the number of games played per year. Baseball, however, is a more family oriented and commonplace sport and consequently less of an incentive for people to be hassled in that manner. Baltimore, for example, has among the worst mass transit system I have seen in a major US city but our light rail system and our metro system (despite how extremely limited they might be) still at least have stations within walking distance from the ballpark. And I rely heavily on this horrid mass transit system. I constantly study bus schedules and other things just to save a couple of bucks. However, I would under no circumstances ever subject myself to such a thing (shuttle bus to metro) on a routine basis. Not totally disagreeing with u but even though its 81 home games compared to around 5 homes games for the Canes, a Canes game would attracted, i don't no, about 70,000+ guests while the Fish would attract 35,000 at most. In theory, that means the traffic would be have as bad and in reality we wont have 35,000 for a while. I don't think traffic would be AS bad as some think. I think it would probably be the same like at Pro Player which I think is pretty good.

OB's Final Hour Is Upon Us
As far as the crime is concerned...as if the area around the DS is a crime free zone. Hopefully this is the start to a much better day than yesterday. For the record, the violent crime rate around the DS is above average for Miami-Dade County. But when you go to D.S., you park inside a gated lot. While obviously thats not foolproof, thats alot safer than parking on the street near the Orange Bowl. Ya but tearing down the OB and putting a baseball stadium may create enough room to make a parking lot around the stadium. Think of all the money the Marlins would make with there own parking lot like Huizenga does at DS.

protocall for tropical storms/hurricanes
Usually when a storm is about 24 - 48 hours away the team and league will announce the first game canceled and after that every game is canceled until the league feels its safe to play. This is wat happened with Wilma.
