  1. Fair enough. By the way, Wade could have gone for 50+ tonight, but deferred late in the game--another testament to his greatness. thats ridiculous how is not scoring late in a game a testament to greatness? ill take Kobe for 1 game, becuase his 2nd half in Game 7 vs. PHX was just another testament to his greatness
  2. Yeah, the Bobcats could really benefit from having 23 involved with the organization I couldnt think of a better fit for Jordan
  3. If we get to .500 (obviously a lofty goal anyway you look at it), does the FO make a move for a CF (or other) with an expiring contract? You have to think that will invigorate fans and help out Loria's ultimate cause. thats impossible
  4. This is what happens when a public official is on his way out i guess hes just gonna do whatever the f*** he wants now
  5. Date Movie ive seen plenty of bad ones, but that is the only one ive ever left early
  6. I liked it very good as far as romantic comedies go. any movie with vince vaughn is worth watching, it seemed like every dialouge he was a part of was off the cuff and brilliant
  7. woohoo! both Canes and Heels in the drivers seat The U beats Manhattan 8-2. They play winner of Manhattan-San Fran at 7pm Also Heels beat down on Winthrop 14-4. They play winner of Winthrop-UNCW at 5pm
  8. That really sucks who steps in at 1B for the Cards now?
  9. Holy sh*t im gonna be in Chapel Hill during a possible game 7 Hopefully this thing goes the distance
  10. Tar Heels up 2-1 on Winthrop, Bottom 4th. Loser plays UNCW tomorrow Canes start at 8pm vs. Manhattan on 90.5 WVUM, 1360 AM and 1550 AM
  11. So tomorrow (or later today i guess) goes like this... Game 3 Nebraska vs. San Fran (loser eliminated) Game 4 The U vs. Manhattan (winner moves on to Sunday) Game 5 Winner Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4 (loser eliminated, winner plays the winner of game 4 on Sunday)
  12. The ninja guy cracked me up. LOL At FIU, there was this guy that would go to all the football games. He would be in the stands, wearing his headphones, and dancing along to whatever he was listening to. Sometimes, he'd dance a little...erm... seductively. It was kinda gross but hilarious at the same time. He is usually all alone, since some people don't like to sit around him. Sometimes, some students get up and dance with him. Here's a picture of him with some students. I have seen him around at baseball games, when it's a big game. I think he was even on TV once. He was probably at a Marlins game or something. I haven't seen him in a long while though. isnt that the same guy that goes to every single UM bball game?
  13. Actually, the new Rays ownership is doing a hell of a lot to make everything fan-friendly. First off, they made parking at The Trop free..no more $10 a pop. They now allow outside food and drink to be brought in. They cut some concession prices. They've re-trained the ushers to not be like seat nazis...if during the game, you want to move down to some unoccupied seats, you can and you won't get the death penalty for it. They've taken the time personally to talk to fans and they do listen. I met Sternberg at the Rays Fan Fest and told him that there were fans like me who are loyal to our teams of origin...Red Sox for me, Mets for my wife, Yankee fans are prevalent here as well (They do train here, after all). They realize that some loyalties can't be changed and they will make sure that those fans won't be hassled like before. Used to be a double standard. They'd scream at visiting fans to put their signs down but say nothing if Rays fans held theirs up. New management knows that fans like me will stay loyal...but they are concentrating on our kids. I'll give the Marlins credit..the Bark In The Park game. The Clearwater Threshers (Phillies farm team in the FSL) does it twice a season. Wouldn't mind seeing the Rays do it as well. Samson and Loria could learn a few things from Sternberg and Friedman... id love that...problem is they dont control concession prices, parking prices, or the ushers the trop may be a piece of sh*t, but at least they dont have to deal with H. Wayne
  14. if this lineup happens, fans should never be allowed to vote again
  15. i left May 11 and graduated last night
  16. Miami is such a bandwagon town. the mindset of Miami fans is if we dont have a chance at winning everything, we dont show up U of M is one of the best football programs of this decade and the Bowl is never full (unless we play FSU or UF). Basketball support is getting better, but still a total joke for an ACC program South Florida only knew the Panthers existed in 1996, and now nobody cares about hockey pretty much every fan in the AAA today jumped on the Shaq bandwagon i dont think i have to mention support for the Marlins :banghead Miami is one of the better cities in terms of quality of events, since there are 4 pro teams, great HS football and major golf and tennis events every year in terms of fan support, were right up there with LA as the worst
  17. I wouldnt be surprised to see him take monday night off
  18. Just keep watching the local sports pages for info. I remember 4 years ago one of the papers had a huge listing of places to catch the games. I went with a friend to watch France's first game at a French bistro in the Grove...at 6 AM. But it was fun, especially since France lost. yeah, going to bars 4 years ago was huge becuase it was the only way to stay awake at 3 in the morning
  19. Folks, I just got in from the midnight release. You need to see this movie. Special effects, fight scenes, script, it was all there. GO SEE IT! That is all. Did you stay until after the credits? Apparently there is a scene after them that is important. Oh man that last scene was awesome
  20. as for the heat, i think their best intros was during 03-04, when they had Odom. All three of the intros that year (Eminems Lose Yourself, Thunder Struck, and Beyonce's Crazy In Love with Irie rapping) were all really good
  21. man he went Carlos Perez all over that cooler
  22. Though I hate Detroit, John Mason is the best IMO.
  23. the last thing the NFL (or anyone else) needs is that pompous a**hole running things
  24. if youre in it for pics/autos, go with 1st base founders field (or something like that, im not sure). batters box seats are really awesome too, but you cant get autos there due to the net.
