The Official Giancarlo Stanton Man Crush Thread

Featured Replies

Marlins calling up Adam Greenberg to take Stantons spot for the last few games. It'd be fitting right?

Shush! They might hear you!

Or a 13 year/$325 million?  Haha, time is awesome.

His salary went like this when this was posted (including the deal of the new contract)

2010: $400,000

2011: $416,000

2012: $480,000

2013: $537,000

2014: $6,500,000

2015: $6,500,000

2016: $9,000,000

2017: $14,500,000

This eight year deal comes out to $38,333,000. If you wanna say 2010 shouldn't count since the eight year proposed deal would've started in 2011, then the eight year deal would've come out to $62,933,000.

Or basically seven million dollars over what mystikol was saying he'd be happy a deal would be.

Lets not throw out that $325 million number like it's actually the number that matters. Because it's not. The Marlins will never pay that much money, and if they do it certainly won't be under the ownership of Jeffrey Loria. They got a damn good deal over the first six years of this deal, and if you want to include his arbitration numbers we'll end up getting eleven prime years of Giancarlo before he turns 31 and has that option come up.

Time hasn't changed all too much. Yes, the projections got higher, but mystikol was pretty damn good on what he thought the overall picture would become.

In this season, when Stanton hit homer, team record is 3-5.

It means pitchers cannot perform well enough.

Or maybe you just need to learn how to read properly.

Stanton's 2015 BABIP is 52 points lower than his lowest BABIP as a major leaguer.

Seems like every other ball in play goes over the wall. I would have thought with all the Ks his BABIP would be pretty high.

I guess that's why they keep those advanced stats because perception can be so skewed.

Stupid advanced stats.

Stupid perception.

Stanton is returning to form and I hope all of you doubters feel guilty for not appreciating this beautiful man.

There are/were very few doubters.

Basically just vince.

Still holding my breath. Those slumps are so demoralizing. But his home runs have been very instrumental to the outcome of these last three games. But massive improvement over a week ago, but still hesitant.

Yesterday's HR to dead center means he's locked in for now. Everyone slumps I just wish his slumps weren't so long and so shitty.
